This is an instrumental version of an old so-called "negro spiritual". I first heard it at church, and it struck me that it was pretty close to the blues, so that's how I'm playing it. Recorded in 2007. Art is a closeup of my painting "The Return".

This song is by Russ Tessier, son of my good friend and musical co-conspirator over the years, Randy Tessier. Russ wrote the tune, and played, sequenced and recorded everything on this track except for the guitar solos and the drum fills which are by yours truly. I liked his track so much I asked him if I could do a remix on it.  Check out Russ's SoundCloud page for some groovy sounds! This was written and recorded in the early 1980s, and deals with some of my thoughts about what the 21st century might hold. Much of it is accurate, but fortunately not all! LOL! Recorded with my band at the time, The Lepers-- Randy Tessier, bass; Don Kuhli, Drums; Paul Hiraga, keyboard; Craig "Congo Boogie" Brown, congas. Recorded on a 4-track in Randy's garage. Guitar solo features my Stratocaster through my vintage Fender Super Reverb ON TEN!
