Hot on the heels of Sprechen’s debut release from Damon Jee which found favour amongst names such as Ivan Smagghe, Justin Robertson, Nick Warren, Jacques Renault & Kasper Bjorke comes the follow up from label boss & founder Chris Massey!

The Pink Flamingo EP kicks of with a no frills, straight up powerhouse pumper in the form of “You Are Divine” which tips the hat at the self proclaimed “Filthiest Person Alive”….a big bubbling Hi-Nrg style workout with added keys & cosmic drenched weirdo drum sounds (courtesy of the Emperor Machine) ensures that more than just the top shirt button will be getting undone during this campaign.

This is followed by “Floor To The Four” which takes the jackin baton and goes for gold….cut up & stuttered vocals from a Chicago producer are scattered across a full on 909 workout that leads to a drop where said producer explains the inner workings of certain studio toys….one for the geeks & the freaks….all are invited!

ROTCIV gets busy on remix duty for Floor To The Four and brings all his Berlin based wisdom to the party to deliver a whole much darker affair which belongs in the deepest of darkrooms…the addition of piano lightens the mood whilst still keeping one foot firmly in the mist…lovely stuff.

Rydim is a mystery. Well, partly… One thing that isn’t a mystery is the high level of acid house authenticity at play here. Dark, heads-down strobe light seduction with the focus squared firmly on the soul of the dance. 

‘FOMO’ lives up to its name thanks to some ominous reese craft. Purring savagely throughout the track, leaving space for the sinewy 303s to dance wildly, it sucks you right in and spits you back out into the lasers at speed. Miss it, miss out. 

Don’t miss either Johannes Albert’s remix or the Bass Tool either; the former maintains the acid but re-shapes the bass into a warmer vibe while the latter strips everything back to that growing, heated bassline. Both will leave everyone in the house happy… 

Finally we have ‘Fairlight’. A homage to the mother of all samplers? That’s another mystery to solve. But we do know it’s another beauty from Ridym; naked beats and bass with crucial pads woven in for optimum breath-takes, every rush any dancer has ever felt since the 80s is saluted and celebrated right here. Rydim is a dancer…

 (Old School) music producer who made his first vinyl track in 1993, after some 3 years or more, creating & experimenting with samples. R.T.R. (Rick the Ripper, Ready to Rock) still continued mixing other peoples tracks up to 2012, by requests sent to him via his YouTube channels. His RedRicky2008 channel on YT was a big hit, with him remixing mainly trance tracks back then with allot of followers into the 10s of thousands. Unfortunately the channel was removed by YT on copyright claims and never saw the light of day again. Until he started his 2 new channels RedRicky2010 & RedRicky2012, both channels are still available on YouTube to this day. Recently he has landed a record deal with MojoHeadz and has a release date of 20th September 2019, so keep an ear out for R.T.R.
