Hailing from Sao Paulo, Acuna is a producer who’s currently causing some very large waves in club-land, with his gritty Drum & Bass tracks rearing their head in more and more sets as time goes on. We’re proud to announce the release of his third four track EP with us here on Chronic, entitled ‘Roll The Streets’.

Heavy Sonics Records Launches the "Next Gen" Series with the first installment, showcasing emerging talent with a four track EP that has a bit of everything, while staying true to the core.

The "Next Gen" series is aimed at uncovering and promoting up and coming  talent in the underground scene and volume 1 sets the bar high for what's to come with four hand-picked tracks of the highest quality. 

The EP kicks off with the explosive "Letting Go" by newcomer Xscar. From the very first beat, this track delivers a massive build-up that culminates in a hard-hitting drop. "Letting Go" is a dancefloor destroyer, guaranteed to get the crowd moving and make an impact in any DJ set.

Basically giving a name for all of these mixes I do and this one stuck 😅 as if the other mixes weren't random shellouts either

But this is where I officially started the series and just thought to try random mixes of tunes I like, see how they sound and pop em in her
this one was done for a charity spin class I did back in July/early August

Backstory - My mum unfortunately passed away last year due to MS (Multiple Sclerosis) related illnesses that she suffered for a long time, so in honour of her and her huge love of music that she passed onto me (along with these natural abilities to flow with rhythm and beats), I made some mixes and played them for my charity classes

Foundation of her, mixed in with music I've gotten to really love and enjoy

and furthermore, I hope you also enjoy too!!!

ALSO!!! I recently extended this mix too, it was a tad too short for my taste so I'm curious to see if anyone can spot when the extension starts from...

Another year and another forthcoming feature from Yamatai’s Label Manager and core artist Kalane.The Reading based producer has been very busy since his last solo project feature back in May 2024, with key releases on labels such as Sofa Sound, Skankandbass and Delta 9 Recordings, The experienced producer has been soaring up the ranks in popularity capturing fans all around the world with his incredibly unique sound presence which is arguably his best secret weapon. We have to give props to Kalane as he has really nailed the ‘find your own sound’ element already even though he is still so early in his career in Drum and Bass. You know a Kalane tune when you hear It and that is why he is gaining attention from labels and fellow producer alike.

With his biggest year to date last year Josh has set sights on making 2025 an even bigger year, working hard in the studio and stacking up his unsigned folder ready to reach even higher heights. Conversations with labels such as Truth Hertz, Drippyboi, The Sauce and many more 2025 could be the year that truly propels him into the spotlight.Balfouri was his last solo project featuring fellow upcomer Acris, this release was well received across the circuit with feed back and support from fellow peers and idols making this a very memorable release for Josh. This saw Kalane really experiment with the ‘Jump Up’ minimal fusion helping him to gauge the reception for this musical hybrid of styles. ‘His latest single with us ‘Flares / Fractures’ is a homage to Kalane’s undeniably unique sound and a showcase of Josh’s best work to date. Adding elements of jump up mixed with the classic boppy and groovy Kalane sub basses has formed 2 very distinctive tracks that we are proud to have on the label.

Get ready because its almost time, Kalane is back yet again and is ready to make his 2025 statement!
