Valera Lacerate, also known as @lvcerate, hails from Kyiv, Ukraine, and is a skilled sound producer and DJ. Starting off his musical journey as a drummer in multiple post-punk, punk, and hardcore bands, Valera eventually delved into electronic music production, becoming a huge admirer of the rigid and powerful sound of industrial and body music. However, he doesn't constrain himself to any particular genre and loves exploring various musical styles.

Valera's music has a distinct tone and composition, as he strives to convey evocative, profound, and introspective stories through his compositions, despite his inclination towards experimentation. Men without hats are a great and highly underrated band. I always loved their music from the beginning of the 80s onward. The safety dance is among my alltime favourite songs. This legendary anthem was released in 1982 and at the end of 2017 I made this mashup remix as my humble tribute to its 35th anniversary. Hope you enjoy the safety dance and always remember, even if the times getting darker and darker you can still dance (if you want to).
