Former Wheat guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Ricky Brennan formed the Boston area trio Duresse along with Brad Archer (bass/vocals)and Derek Dutra (drums/vocals). Ghostly, swirling, chiming guitars, hypnotic bass melodies and powerful drum grooves provide a dreamy backdrop for Duresse's optimistic anthems. Their self-released 2005 EP 'Elate" features 7 songs that are equal parts English shoe-gazer and Americana roots rock.
