DOORWAYS

Writing songs - completely rewrote my poem into song verse - had to add more lyrics so not the true form of the poem but made sense musically. My original poem was a tough read for being stuck in a relationship and losing myself. I would stare at the ceiling asking myself - what am I doing.

A moody dark industrial hyper pop track that would be great in an underground warehouse at 2am.

Guardian Angel

Poetry to song - this was based off a short poem that grew into this semi serenade plea. That declaration that no one really heres.

I fear the possibility of heartbreak
The pain of falling helplessly only to lose myself again,
Its haunts my dreams and clouds my decisions

So I walk beside you cautiously
Opening slightly, letting you see glimpses of me
Like sunshine leaving for the day I set slowly. 

CAUTIOUSLY OPEN

Poetry to song. This one was a straight poem which I created am evolution chorus to.

2 years has passed and it feels like a day
I am nervous of writing in my own way to say
That this is over it’s done with one thing left to do
To seperate completely, and give ours/yours some lieu.
From the buying and trying the fighting we sought. 
With no measure of calm because things were so taught,
Means that time has arrived and I am letting you go
From this promise of happy from this awful wedded woe
Please take back the prizes you won’t need the memory
Because regardless of checklists it’s over for  me.
I go now or else will you hold me today
Will you make me unhappy, make happiness slow
For I am at a place where I no longer need you
And although that might hurt it will never undo
My pain, my heart, my shame and my blame. 
It Took 2 years to smile sleep soundly in bed
And now it’s all over I choose to rest my head
It’s time, leave now I am finished you see
For no longer more will you hold over me.
