« Club Dunia » devient « Dub Dunia » ! Stand High Patrol remixe le track de MC Waraba, un voyage à la croisée des continents et des styles, quelque part entre Bamako et la Bretagne, entre les sessions soundsystem et les balanis. Ici, le Rap mandingue se déploie sur fond Dubadub, les grooves fusionnent et le cocktail servi a le goût de l’inattendu. Paré du flow de MC Waraba le son de Stand High Patrol trouve un nouvel éclat. La vibe est là, contagieuse si bien qu’elle s’avère vite hautement addictive. Ce remix dont les paroles condamnent la guerre autant qu’elles célèbrent la vie est le premier extrait de l’EP de remix  « Hyper Manioc ». Il donne le ton du projet qui sortira le 11 Juillet sur Blanc Manioc.

The vibe is real — contagious and highly addictive. Tous les mois, Musical Echoes vous propose deux sélections 100% vinyles : l’une roots/digital et l’autre reggae/dub/stepper, plus actuelle. Ce mois-ci, c'est Roots Arna qui s'y colle depuis Montpellier ! Collectionneur et passionné de reggae depuis les années 90, le selecta est à la tête du sound system Salomon Heritage et du label du même nom qui vient de fêter son cinquième anniversaire et a déjà enregistré Murray Man, Prince Jamo, King General ou encore Ras Tweed...

Septembre 2014-septembre 2019 : voilà 5 ans déjà que Musical Echoes vous propose deux sélections 100% vinyles tous les mois ! Pour fêter ça, on a demandé à 4 de nos sound systems heavyweight favoris de nous concocter une sélection chacun, d'un style musical totalement libre.
Pour cette première, Nico de Blackboard Jungle nous fait l’honneur de ressortir ses 45 Tours jamaïcains, produits à la fin des années 90 et au début des années 2000 avec un focus sur les riddims steppers de la période dite new roots. Run it !
