Throwback to 2001 in Isla Vista, CA: a collab with the one and only Phil Fonsen, aka Flip Phil my roomate Josh’s friend from Wisconsin. Whipped up this beat on a Korg Triton in just 16 minutes, cooked up a hook that set the vibe, and then we laid down verses right after in our notepads. Half an hour later—recorded and done. Pure creative flow. Boom.
