Sarah Chilanti is steadily making her mark in progressive house, combining subtle vocals with deep, melodic production that has caught the attention of artists like Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, and Nick Warren.

With releases on labels such as Or Two Strangers, Manual Music, and Plattenbank, her sound continues to resonate on and off the dance floor. In her local Brazil, she’s performed at venues including D-Edge, Green Valley, and River Club, where her thoughtful approach to DJing is earning growing recognition.

On this Balance Selections mix, the Brazilian artist showcase why that recognition is so warranted. Featuring track from Ric Niels, Kamilo Sanclemente and Matter, this charts a course from deep house to deep prog with the ease of a twenty-year veteran.

His remix earlier this year of Eichenbaum’s Transcender, released on Balance Music, showcased his ability to stretch emotion across a track without ever losing control.

The beginnings of the Politeca project date back to early 2006 when it's originators, Andy Holt & Dave Gardner, had an idea to infuse their shared love of Detroit techno with a visual theme revolving around their recent discoveries of how the world REALLY worked through documentaries & movies such as Peter Joseph's 'Zetigeist', Jacque Fresco's 'Future By Design' and Stephen Gaghan's 'Syriana' to name a few. 

'Reverso', with it's accompanying imagery, is a plea to undo some of the steps we've taken as a race - a sense that we've walked too far down the wrong path and we need to check ourselves before we really go too far - slam the machine into reverse if you will. 

'Reverso', in all it's audio glory, is a string-laden UR-inspired techno slammer. 

The original brings you a mountain of drum percussion locked together by a Detroit string hook. A confident bassline continues the story until the string crescendo leaving you suitable impressed. 

Matthias Vogt delivers a patient calculated version focusing on the main characteristics of the piece weaving the string laden melodies perfectly. 

Ricky Ryan & Kosmas houseify the elements with funk fused percussion and Kosmic pad manipulation with the understanding that the lid must be kept on at ALL times. 

Vince Watson drives the percussive beats reminiscent of 'French Kiss' before leading you down dark alleyways of ethno percussion.

His success is exemplified by featuring on John Digweed's Transitions show, and on Proton Radio, setting a record of simultaneous listeners, with rave reviews from Sander Kleinenberg, Danny Howells, and Desyn Masiello for DJ MAG.

Ricky Ryan is just as well respected for his remixes and productions while establishing Mauricio Viana's Electronic Groove Records, supported by Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, and many more.
