Ricky the Steamboat was formed in the summer of 2003 by Nick Rossi and Brandon Invergo out of a shared desire to explore uncharted musical territories. Buoyed by their successful studio sessions, the duo quickly moved their work into the realm of live performance, where they relied upon the unpredictability of improvisation in order to create unique soundscapes for diverse crowds in equally diverse settings. Consisting of dark, brooding ambience; unnerving drones; and jarring noise, their sound remains unique and ever-evolving. Always striving to forge new sonic paths, Ricky the Steamboat's sound experimentation has only just begun.
