Anki - All Alone ft Micah Martin (Radio Edit)

Puzzle came to me at an interesting time in my life - having just come out of a long term relationship, Claire’s writing easily came to life as it touched on the issues of letting go and fighting through something that may be dysfunctional or broken. When it comes to the narrative behind the song, I feel that the lyrics capture just that: this confused 21st century mindset that it’s better to struggle through a damaging relationship than it is to accept being alone. 
I wanted the production around Claire’s vocal to reflect this powerful, yet inconsistent emotional dynamic I’d once experienced myself. Puzzle is also a first step in a new direction for the Fairlane project, experimenting with a more pop-like structure while simultaneously delivering the familiar electronic sound I’ve conveyed in the past. This is a project I’m very proud of, and is easily one of my most creative records in terms of instrumentation and sound design. I can’t express how excited I am to share this one with you guys! ♥️

First solo original and absolutely honored that I was given the opportunity to work alongside Jake Miller. I had the instrumental finished about 5 months ago and wanted to shoot my shot with a big vocalist. As soon as Jake replied and was down, I knew I had created something unique and anthemic.
