The team from Riddim Records are incredibly proud to be releasing their first E.P. Staying true to their ethos of working with emerging talent, 'Ep. 1' brings you the sounds of three of the most promising up-and-comers in the drum and bass scene right now in an action-packed 3-track EP

The EP begins with the crisp sounds of Dbrief with his track 'All The 9's'. The track infuses a clear Jungle influence, complimented with a smooth Hip-Hop beat, culminating in to a classic Dbrief track. 

The second track, written by the incredibly talented Thread, reflects his experimental and forward-thinking approach to drum and bass. 'Mindless' provides its listeners with a futuristic sound design that pushes the boundaries of modern drum and bass. 

The final track, written by Norway-born, Leeds-based artist Yassily finishes the EP with a dark and hard-hitting creation under the title 'Expression'. Yassily, inherently a techno artist, has found solace in the forever-expanding world that is drum and bass.

Suspekt is steadily making a name for himself as an incredibly comprehensive and versatile artist, who's sound is mature beyond his years.

Setting up the mood of the EP, we hear 'The Soul' - a smooth, ambient number with a mesmerising saxophone motif. The track is testament to Suspekt's rich-background in music and carries a certain thought-provoking element to it, generally only found from some of Drum and Bass's more veteran artists.

The second and final track 'Love So Sweet' is a collaboration with one of the Riddim Records family, Thread. Thread's deep and dark influence on the liquid-number is immediately apparent, but its clear to hear Suspekt's smooth-style carrying over into this deep and soulful groove.

Thread, an individual who's been so integral to the Riddim Records family, has returned home with two absolutely sublime tracks - 'Searching' & 'Surrender'.

Subdue, one of the UK's finest rising talents, has returned to Riddim Records with some his most elegant work to date. With his unique and stylistic approach to Drum & Bass, 'Dusk', a new four track EP, perpetuates the sound that we at Riddim hold so dear, fusing tech-y rollers, glitchy beats, deep atmospherics and newfangled vocals.

The title track, 'Dusk', is our first stop: progressive euphoria with both incredible warmth and a delicate sound. Deep bass and hypnotic drums bring the vibes.

'When I'm Alone' hangs a sharp left into a dark and tech-y roller with seriously eerie undertones. Subdue goes even deeper with the glitchy 'Reality'. A murky stepper that combines a raunchy lead synth and powerful sub. 

Finally, 'Afraid of You' is the warm glow ending the tunnel, featuring the rich vocals of ES. Kay, one of Riddim's newest signings. A signature ballad to take us home.

It's been nearly a year since Subdue's last Riddim Records feature 'Who Am I' on our VA album in early 2020. He's now returned home, and what a return it is.

With his unique and stylistic approach to Drum & Bass, 'Dusk', a new four track EP, perpetuates the sound that we at Riddim hold so dear, fusing tech-y rollers, glitchy beats, deep atmospherics and newfangled vocals.

The title track, 'Dusk', is our first stop: progressive euphoria with both incredible warmth and a delicate sound. Deep bass and hypnotic drums bring the vibes.

'When I'm Alone' hangs a sharp left into a dark and tech-y roller with seriously eerie undertones. Subdue goes even deeper with the glitchy 'Reality'. A murky stepper that combines a raunchy lead synth and powerful sub. 

Finally, 'Afraid of You' is the warm glow ending the tunnel, featuring the rich vocals of ES. Kay, one of Riddim's newest signings. A signature ballad to take us home.

It's been nearly a year since Subdue's last Riddim Records feature 'Who Am I' on our VA album in early 2020. He's now returned home, and what a return it is.
