People often talk about the chemistry that goes into great musical partnerships, and the same can be said of Cosmetics. The group's two members, Nic and Aja, live and work together in a studio in Montreal, feeding off their differences to create stylised, brittle disco sounds that are strangely infectious. Juxtaposing their inherent contrasts with the numerous contradictions that are to be found in their hometown of MTL, Cosmetics create a musical language that is uniquely their own.
