Just got the new Lone Wolf Audio Panzerwolf today. 

Guitar: 
1973 Guild S-100C with a DiMarzio X2N in the bridge slot tuned to C standard
Lone Wolf Audio Panzerwolf into Mooer 008 (Mesa Mark III clone) preamp pedal. Direct in to interface using the Mooer's built in cab sim.

Bass was a 1983 Peavey Patriot through a Lone Wolf Audio Left Hand Wrath Deluxe and an MXR Bass DI+, also direct in.

Drums were the wonderful Room Sound Kurt Ballou sample pack using the "God City" preset.

This is another demo of a song in progress called "Shower Of Steel".
All of the guitars AND THE BASS were done with the prototype of our signature preamp/distortion pedal coming soon from Lone Wolf Audio.
The pedal is based on the classic early 80s signal chain of a Marshall Super Lead being boosted with a DOD 250 or MXR Distortion +. 
The Throne Of Iron pedal was ran through a Mooer Radar cab impulse loader straight into the interface. 

Drums are It Might Get Loud Productions/Ugritone's fantastic Assault Drums set, which emulates the sound of 80s metal drum sounds.

Wrote this really quick after unpacking my new (to me) Dean Chicago Classic V. Stock DiMarzio Super Distortions. 
Bass was my 83 Peavey Patriot.
Guitars and bass were all run through ToonTrack's EZMix2 for the amp sounds.
Drums were Assault Drums by Ugritone.

This is a song about moving on from shitty people you don't need in your life, and being a badass and driving around in your van and growing a mustache. 

Got an idea to record some 70s style hard rock leaning into early 80s metal from watching a tour of Welcome To 1979 Studio in Nashville.

I tried to get as close to the production style and sound of the period on this, but all with plugins which emulated equipment and the workflow of the time. So pretty much just plate reverbs, channel EQ and compression, and a doubler for the vocals. 

Guitars were my pawn shop Superstrat, a Squier starter pack with a $12 single humbucker/single volume pickguard. 
Bass was my trusty 1983 Peavey Patriot.
