A newly recorded Cover take on this one in AcoustaTroninc Style. It's an Alt-verison of a Favorite recorded previously from the amazing Civil Wars. What a sound they created. Massive Kudo's to JPW and JW. Just sketched here with all due love and respect in my own way. Used some new mics and the Martin 'Black Smoke' 000 and Classic Vibe 50's Tele to shape this creative interpretation.

We wrestle with what doesn’t come easy yet seems so right and natural. In the end the heart should always win. This original song is another one of my raw “live” iPhone recordings with an added vocal harmony. Bare bones, just like the sentiment.

I can't tell you how happy I am to finally sing again. The Bix 3 were re-contracted to come into the studio with me, and they still work cheap. You know, a bologna sandwich and iced tea and they're good.  I love this song, but with a jazz bossa flavor like John Pizzarrelli gave it. Sung by many of the greats, originally written for the Broadway show Funny Girl in 1927 by none other than the great Gershwin brothers. They not only knew a bit about music, but also obviously about falling in love and how it feels. 96 years old, and this song is still 'scharming and 'swonderful as when it was written. So glad to be back. Hope you'll listen, love and comment.

This piece is expressly composed to honor my father. He died in 1956 as a consequence of the penalties suffered in the concentration camps after the Spanish civil war. I was six years old. Life didn't give us much time to be together.
