The ground trembles, releasing distant whispers and faraway songs. The green mosses on the surface lament. Their mournful melody awakens the ancient ones deep below, who pain to tell stories of what came before. Secrets and magic spells traverse the layers – the peat connecting the long dead and the living.

“Ayont” by Cloak of Kings evokes a mysterious atmosphere; where hazy strings, disembodied vocals, and discarded threads of RnB samples are chopped and woven, enveloping the listener in a comforting darkness.

Leftfield freaky dance music, bouncy riddims on micro sounds and weird vocals gestures. "Blue Lagoon" is a never-ending climax, fastly interrupted and then starting back, changing face but still breezing. Proposed as single track and coming with the instrumental version by Jazzoux (duo formed by Claire Gapenne and Amédée De Murcia himself), was reworked by Nebulo, Williams Fields and Undae Tropic, adding different ways to stretch, decompose and push the track.

Giulia Rae “O”, her first release on Riforma, is a two-track EP emblematic of her approach to composition. Working by contrast, the sound materializes a dialogue between algorithmically sequenced synthetic melodies and hazy field recordings recalling a sense of place.

A detailed and immersive sound design, able to re-create environments in which we feel we once have been. Echoing emotional hallucinations, the melodies and textures wrap around the listener, and a sense of falling deeply pervades us. “2023” is atomised and totally reinterpreted by Elif Gülin Soğuksu, where each piece returns feverish, compressed in time, the voice marks a new pattern in the composition. “regolo” was displaced and degraded by going through the procedural machines of C3 S R crew.

"Life's journey leads us to new and unfamiliar places, where we are called upon to adapt, to learn to breathe with renewed lungs. This process of change can be fraught with fear – fear of crossing the street, fear of being crossed by the unfamiliar, fear of not measuring up, fear of feeling isolated. We may even find ourselves bearing the weight of other people's sadness as if it were our own, struggling to find the courage to confront injustices. It is in these moments that we may feel guilty or overwhelmed, and the temptation to retreat into ourselves can be strong.

But what if these very experiences – these moments of fear, uncertainty, and vulnerability – were reasons to embrace life rather than reasons to be afraid? What if they were opportunities to connect us, all together?

"Non Aver Paura" (Don't Be Afraid) is the song I composed for Riforma's BATCH#3, between Turin and Berlin. It exists as a bridge, a bridge towards affirmative embraces and a love that saved my life without asking for anything in return. It is a biographical song, rooted in a body that struggles with an embodied fragility together with the fragility of other bodies. It mixes colors that patiently places on new surfaces, searching for something of itself in other' eyes."

2023 was a pretty nefarious year, dense with changes, especially emotional ones.
Memories shifting from complex experiences to trivial ideas.
These little songs are an attempt to portray those tender memories that allowed me to move forward during tough times.
Basically these are LOVE SONGS. Bittersweet maybe, sad sometimes but they always talk about love.
I imagine this music should be heard as a kind of chamber music, not too loud and with a functional purpose."
