Before we broke up the band in 2006, we were working on a second Astronaut Wife album and this was one of the home-recorded demos we made for that record. It was inspired by an infamous proto-fascist speech given by George W. Bush in which he said "you are either with us or against us."

The sun is hiding underneath the red horizon line
Making outlines from the trees

Blanking out the world

As we stand on the sidewalk looking down
I could swear I see your shadow disappearing from the ground

Standing in a strange place
Afraid to take a look around

I know you told me when you left I wouldn’t have a single thing to fear
But I wonder if you’ll still remember me when you’re high up in the atmosphere
And will the thin air up there still carry my voice to you?
Like a bottled message on the radio waves
