I started this song in 2021 as a remix of the song Gatsu from the anime Berserk. That song got me through some hard times honestly, and it hits my heart in just the right way so I felt compelled to breathe new life into it in my own style.

Writing 'getoutofmyhead' was truly a cathartic exercise in unpacking and expressing my emotions surrounding the worst heartbreak of my life. It captures all the emotions I felt during the process of breaking free from the addiction of wanting someone who wasn't right for me, and detaching myself from the perspective I previously held on love.

I can't tell you whether I listened to this song more just to manifest it in the first place, or just to enjoy it. I am not kidding when I say there was a certain point in the production where I would just listen to it on repeat for hours if I started having invasive thoughts. It felt healing to turn it up all the way and melt into the sonic landscape even at the cost of hearing damage. 

So, I hope if nothing else that anyone out there listening to this song, while going through or having had previously experienced, earth shattering loss, knows that they are not alone. 

You are not broken. 

You are loved. 

You are enough. 

I hope my song helps you find the love you deserve to show yourself and that it helps you heal. I love you. Thank you so much for listening and being here on this whirling wet rock in space with me. Don't you ever stop flying🦋 ❤️
