A close friend of the Bespoke Musik Family, Matt Caines continues to push himself in his creative endeavors, with a brand new mix recorded live at the festival he co-founded with David Graziano, Art With Me Miami back in November 2022. The set features a number of unreleased Matt Caines productions. We're thrilled to host this talented musician and positive creative force in the art and music worlds.

Matt Caines is a creative producer, extending his roots through music, experiential design, and the built environment. A New York native, he has produced events internationally, leading teams from all over the world to create a haptic and participatory space that moves people, causes a reaction, instigates change.

Jules Etro is a Naarm/Melbourne based DJ/producer who crafts a unique musical experience by seamlessly blending downtempo and organic house genres, fusing electronic synth sounds with world instruments and ethnic percussion. His live performances have graced iconic Melbourne venues like Killing Time, and he's been featured at renowned events including Chi Wow Wah Town festival, Circadian Rhythms, and Beat & Path label nights. Rauhnächte und erster Schnee

In der europäischen Tradition werden die Tage & Nächte ab Weihnachten, bis zum 6. Januar als Rauhnächte bezeichnet. Dieser zwölftägigen Episode wird eine magische, sowie prophetische Zeitqualität nachgesagt. Die 12 steht symbolisch für die kommenden Monate des neuen Jahres. Eine Nacht für jeden Monat. Träume, Eingebungen oder auch Visionen erhalten während der Rauhnächte einen außergewöhnlichen Stellenwert. Sie können als Hinweise oder auch als Vorschau, auf das anstehende Jahr angesehen werden. Darüberhinaus bietet sich die Befragung eines, wie auch immer gearteten Orakels an. Landwirte zogen traditionell einen Zwiebelkalender zurate, um einen Ausblick auf das Wetter zu erhalten. In moderneren Zeiten erfreut sich bspw. das Bleigießen großer Beliebtheit. Ein Stück Blei wird erhitzt und anschließend in kaltes Wasser gekippt. Die dabei entstehenden Formen und Figuren sollen einen kryptischen Einblick, in Ereignisse und Begebenheiten des neuen Jahres ermöglichen. 

Prinzipiell sind die Rauhnächte als eine Phase der Ruhe und Introspektion zu begreifen. Geistige, sowie körperlich anspruchsvolle Tätigkeiten fallen schwerer als natürlich. Ratsam sind Entspannung, Reflexion des zurückliegenden, als auch die Formulierung von Wünschen und Zielen. Reinigt euren Geist von altem Ballast und macht Euch frei für das neue Jahr.

Je nach Überlieferung und Mythologie ist der Zeitraum der Rauhnächte ein unterschiedlich datiert. In allen Kulturen sind sie jedoch spätestens am 7. Januar vorüber. Unser heutiger Gast nimmt musikalisch Abschied vom alten Jahr und lässt die Rauhnächte akustisch ausklingen. Gemeinsam mit Soyos treten wir gut gestärkt dem neuen Jahr entgegen. Begleitet von treibenden Bässen, harmonischen Melodien und säuselnden Vocals blicken wir motiviert und optimistisch in die Zukunft.
