Righteous Dub - Special Dub

A self-produced collaboration between two reggae bassist/dub engineers, namely John Larsen aka Righteous Dub of soundcloud.com/dubcampaign and Matt Mansfield aka soundcloud.com/matt-gregg-mansfield of Dubconscious, FLT RSK, and Dialect Trio, this EP represents a cultivation of decades of love for instrumental Dub Reggae.

With the layered arrangements and tasteful f/x demanded by lovers of Dub, here executed with style and precision, the material finds Righteous Dub laying a solid rootsy foundation, which evolves over time into deep electronic Cumbia, the province of Piper Street Sound. Both versions feature bass and melodica work by Larsen, and piano, guitar, and dub engineering by Mansfield as well as a phenomenal turn by James Keene, lead guitarist of DubConscious, delivering a jazzy psychedelic icing to this already excellent cake of Roots riddims. Both Larsen and Mansfield have been working with Boom One Records and this work is available for purchase through Boom One Records at iTunes, Beatport and many more fine retailers of downloadable music.
