"Don't Leave Me This Way" is one of our favourite club songs. From the original Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes, through the incredible Thelma Houston to the Communards electro-80s masterpiece, it has been a dancefloor bomb that has touched millions. It works wonders even when sampled out of context (like in Flashmob's "Need In Me"). 

Despite all the classics, we wanted a version that brought the iconic vocal line up to date with a bang, so we enlisted one of our favourite electronic producers of today, Fab Massimo and teamed him up with Kevin McKay with a brief to create a version that would smash everywhere from an underground basement to the big stages at a festival. Have they delivered? Well, we think so. 

Their performance, featuring the brilliant vocals of T'Shan Williams, is big, bold and full of synthy goodness. We've seen this destroy our underground basement in London and can't wait to see it on the bigger stages.

Kylie Minogue's "Slow" is an electronic music masterpiece. Co-written with Dan Carey (Mr. Dan, Sunday Best) and Emilíana Torrini ("Jungle Drum", Lord of The Rings!), it is the kind of slow-burning pop music we love to hear on the radio. There have been some cracking edits over the years; Vlad Bretan's take jumps to mind, as does Daniel Meisters from last year. So, when our new favourite vocalist, Rose Moncado, dropped off a demo of the Kylie bomb, we thought, let's get these two people together. Nasser Baker makes his long-awaited return with an original track, the deep and mature house single ‘Notification’ on Defected. We love an artist who is open about their musical journey. Many producers want to rip up all the "old" and create a new alias for their "new" sound as soon as they feel a slight change in direction. For us, this smacks of perfectionism and promotes unhealthy behaviour among artists. Skygroover unashamedly began life making EDM but discovered the joys of deep, musical, techy rhythms while living and making music in Brazil. The results of his newfound love were immediately apparent. We were lucky to hear "High" released earlier this year and loved its loopy heat and jazz chords. His follow-up, "Jazz Rhythm", is an equally sumptuous groove filled with clever Rhodes chords and wicked guitar licks. Add a superb sax breakdown, and you will have a future deep house classic right here. Dive in!
