Summer Rise

Norwegian Rikslyd is a solo project by Diis Paradiis. 

Rikslyd is a portmanteau, a combination of the words Nationwide (riks) and Sound (lyd), and the self invented genre "Champagne Electro" explains well the sound universe of minimal pop tracks, awkward sexiness, electronic ambient vibes and parfois clever lyrics.

The fashion world has particularly shown appreciation for the style; like Stella McCartney, Quentin Veron, Devastee, Eric Bompard, Andrea Crews, Collette, Minna Palmqvist and Caroline Daily to mention some. 

Also having DJ'ed under the name Diis Paradiis in the Paris nightlife for many years, she is now more living on a remote location, listening to jazz by the lake.

Hopefully some new music will surface there!

About her 2nd album, Ecotone in 2012: the word ecotone is coined from eco(logy) - plus tone, from the Greek tonos or tension – in other words, a place where ecologies are in tension. An ecotone is a transition area between two biomes but different patches of the landscape, such as forest and grassland; and describes with these words the musical transitions present in this album.
