On this special interview, FM Punk crosses over with Massacre By Metal to interview legendary Ohio metal vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens! We talked about his new project Ripper with Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed in the producer's chair, his time in Judas Priest, joining K.K.'s Priest, and some of his other various projects from Beyond Fear to his old high school bands. We also talked about the time he was on Bar Rescue because how could we not?! Ripper, in many ways, is living the metal equivalent of the American Dream, he went from being an amateur musician to metal legend just through raw talent, work ethic and getting the once in a lifetime opportunity to sing for one of the greatest metal bands of all time! My respect for him is genuine! This interview was an honor to do and having Vlad do it with me was definitely fun. I've been doing the show alone for almost 6 years so having an extra person to create a dynamic and change things up once in a while was a fun experience!

This also marks the second Yngwie Malmstein vocalist I've had on the show... For a show about punk rock and hardcore, the pioneer of neoclassical metal sure does seem to come up a lot!

HEAVY IS THE HEAD FINAL

I started this remix so long ago, dropped it for a while, then picked it up and finished it this year. it was supposed to come out a couple months ago but I wanted to create a custom cover for the song and i made this BEAUTIFUL comic/pulp ficti0n inspired coverart. My first digital painting. absolutely stunned by my work...

This remix is super fun with a great sample in the beginning (if you know what it's from you're a real one). The remix is so dynamic and fun and goes in so many different directions that it's truly a journey.

100 gecs is one of my favorite musicians ever who have inspired me to even make music in the first place. I dunno where I'd be without them...Thank you 100 gecs for not only making super cool music but for releasing the stems and being very open to remixes and overall exploration and experimentation of your sounds.
