My name is Riley Bartoo, and I am 22 years old. I am from Rochester, New York, and I went to Honeoye Falls-Lima high school.  I have always been consumed in sports like track, basketball and soccer. I further went on to play soccer in college on a scholarship at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  I am currently a senior there studying Dietetics. About a year and a half ago, I was told that I should discontinue playing sports due to the many concussions I have received. It has been difficult, but at that moment I realized I had a different path to be on. That event showed me to pursue my passion of singing and writing. In school, I always enjoyed writing poetry, and I was recognized for the work I did. This contributed to my songwriting, because I looked at it as writing a poem. Since I was little, I have done both. I was in the Bach children’s choir, musicals, chorus, and talent shows throughout the years.  Singing and writing is a way for me to express my emotions into something beautiful. I mainly sing R&B and R&B jazz. My goal with writing as well as singing is to create something that other people can relate to and have a connection with.  It is such a passion of mine, and I hope to have a great impact on others.
