“Les caravanes de l’exil” pays tribute to these men and women who cross the desert towards the sea towards an elsewhere they hope for better.
With its slow, organic and progressive house sound, it traces the dangerous journey of these exiles piled up and hidden in the back of trucks forming endless caravans across borders, deserts and the unscrupulous hands of smugglers.

To commemorate Tony Allen's passing last Thursday and celebrate his infectious drums sound, we share today the official solo track of his drums take on @sebastien-tellier cult song "La Ritournelle". 

Tony Allen was a maestro. His torso wouldn’t move when he played the drums. He never hit hard, his speciality was extreme subtlety. He played the drums on "La Ritournelle" in one take, then he had to pick up his kid at school!

Rim Laurens (born “Alain Laurens”,1980) is a French DJ and composer who has written music for awarded shorts and feature films.
CAREER AS A DJ
Rim Laurens is a DJ mainly working in Paris, French Riviera and South of France. He started playing an original blend of 60s music, soul and electronica in lounge bars, on private beaches and at modern art exhibitions in the South of France. In 2006 he went to London to test his first live set on a "connaisseur" audience, in clubs such as the "1001" or “Dust”. His compositions were described by the other DJs as "sexy French music". The same year his first demo was noticed by David de Barce, from the Hotel Costes in Paris, who opened his nightly set with one of Rim's tracks. In 2010 he released his album "After Midnight" available on Itunes, Virgin and other platforms. Its music video "Kiss me" has been selected to major music video competitions in France and abroad. In 2011 Rim was invited to tour in Georgia, in order to play his music in luxury hotels and lounge bars. Since 2010, he DJs all parties organized by Adastra Films during Cannes Film Festival and, in 2014, was the DJ at the cocktail event of the UAE pavilion.

CAREER AS A FILM COMPOSER
Rim Laurens is also a renowned French composer who has written music for awarded short films, commercials and a feature film, reaching more than 300 selections in festivals and 35 prizes worldwide. He mainly works with the Cannes-based company Adastra Films. Two of his shorts have been selected at Sundance film festival: « Social Butterfly » (2013) and « Black Mulberry » (2014). His first feature film “Brides” received an Audience Award at the Berlinale and was selected by major film festivals all over the world : Tribeca, Busan…
Rim Laurens has worked internationally with filmmakers from Egypt, Georgia, Japan, Russia, United Arab Emirates and France.
