Stepping up for the 26th instalment in the members mix series we are thrilled to be joined by esteemed selectors and all round legends Operate. 

Made up of Ben Mono and TMSN, the operate crew have been an outpost for all things UKG in Berlin with their night of the same name bringing over artists such as Dr.Banana, Alec Falconer, El-b, Perception, Holloway and many more. 

Alongside this, they recently put out an absolutely killer 12inch with our good friends over at DimSum Records that rarely leaves the bag.

We are thrilled to have em stepping for a special hour long all vinyl mix.

SnS Members Mix 026 - Operate

The sounds of the UK electronic underground have surrounded Dr Dubplate before his own musical journey even began. Prior to immersing himself in the nightlife world, he was getting an education from his father who used to manage iconic London club Plastic People. It was this space that he then went on to work at himself, further cementing his love of a scene that would inspire him to start his own musical journey. 

After spending time as a promoter in Bristol, he then went on to start the ec2a imprint - a nod to Plastic People's postcode and the space that started it all for him. His mission is to push the underground, from the artists to the music and the culture. The main label and its sub-labels, TWLVZ and Original Pirate Material (OPM), focus on speed garage, 2-step, jungle and bass-heavy sounds, and have so far welcomed the likes of Riko Dan, Breaka, Coco Bryce, Main Phase and Dj Swagger, who takes care of the next EP out on 18th November.

The ec2a name extends to his Rinse FM show too, which showcases the best of the label, Dubplate's energetic and club-ready discoveries and guest mixes from the likes of Holloway and Marble. That same energy comes through on his Ransom Note mix. Never afraid to jump between genres, he blends UKG, breaks, jacking house, broken club rhythms and jungle but with effortless style.

Since 2015, TMSN has been hosting the "Operate" UK-Garage nights, together with Ben Mono in the now legendary clubs Farbfernseher and Griessmuehle. Since 2022, the party series has moved to the inner-city club Paloma. In late 2020 the duo released the first record “Operate – Sweet Talk” on the new “Operate” Label.
Best known for his innovative, genre-bending mix of the bass-heavy side of electronic music, TMSN has been bringing the UK garage sound to unsuspecting audiences for ages and has turned numerous house and techno lovers into garage heads.
