Next up is a pioneer and key figure in the Colombian techno scene. The Bogota-born, Barcelona based artist has been mesmerizing audiences with her mental techno journeys for quite some time now. After honing her impressive skills behind the wheels of steel in her hometown of Bogota, Adriana relocated to Spain in 2003 and has since won the hearts of fans around Europe and beyond in the countless places she's played, among them DGTL Festival (Barcelona, Madrid), Village Underground (London), Faust and Vurt (Seoul), Vent (Tokyo), Berghain and Tresor (Berlin). Her imprint Grey Report stands for absolute quality in techno, just like the numerous releases she has had over the years, including Modularz, Semantica, PoleGroup, Stoboscopic Artefacts and many more.

Swedish producer based in Gothenburg. This Swedish entity contributed to live, real and in circumstantial surroundings. Mr. Eargoggle has a huge impact on the electro scene. Grown up listening to the electro funk sound of Egyptian Lover and similar funkateers, Luke Eargoggle, aka Lukas Pettersson, now lives by the beach in Sweden where he makes music in peace. Luke maintains the record label Stilleben Records and released some of his ultra funky electro tracks through Dutch label Bunker Records, German label Kommando 6 and more.
Especially for our podcast, Luke recorded an exclusively vinyl set.

FRANCOIS DILLINGER [Ben Worden] glides between the two worlds of electro and techno. His journey through the genres is dark while retaining a cerebral, dancefloor-oriented quality. This stems from influences of Industrial, Detroit electro, and even Ghettotech that were a part of his first explorations as a DJ in Detroit. In the studio, Francois uses primarily all external hardware and modular gear, utilizing Ableton for final arrangements and editing. His Live & DJ sets lean heavily into the generation of hypnotic loops, creating long protracted mixes between elements to form unshakeable tension. As a former promoter, long-time performer, and supporter of the scene – he’s been a part of the Detroit community for over 20 years.
 
In 2021, DILLINGER released three albums—two on vinyl and one on cassette. He was featured on several VA’s, most notably on Planet_e’s Detroit Love compilation. Over 30 artists remixed his tracks in the last year including the likes of Keith ‘K1’ Tucker, Detroit’s Filthiest, Jensen Interceptor, Pip Williams (of London Modular Alliance), Luxus Varta and others. As a remixer himself, he’s garnered DJ support from the likes of Dave Clarke and DJ Stingray. The 2022 release calendar is already full of new remix projects, and EPs on labels like AVOIDANT (Soma Records), Mannequin Records and others.
 
Detroit’s Deep Space Radio hosts FRANCOIS’s resident podcast on the network, which broadcasts new episodes monthly. MINDFRAME, is part of a conceptual series of albums and projects from DILLINGER—each episode on DSR features guest artists and interviews and has showcased his own live and DJ sets as well.  

Especially for our podcast, Francois recorded a meditative immersion with his trademark complex intricacies.

There were a lot of really nice sets this month, but one that stood out the most for me is from the beginning of the month – Rats on Rafts'fifth show. The group really takes you on a trip through different genres that manage to flow effortlessly, such as punk, new wave, electronic and world music. The blend of disruptive, spaceship-y sounds to softer, dreamier melodies and eerie hymns in the middle just mixed so well together and really grabbed my attention. For anyone looking for something that varies from what they may have been hearing out at clubs or bars lately, I definitely recommend this set for an offbeat afternoon.
