Foreign is the pseudonym used by Miguel Vázquez to play sets of IDM, avant-techno and electro sounds, combining the smoothness and efficiency of transparent melodies with abstract landscapes and dense atmospheres loaded with complex polyrhythmic structures.

Throughout these years Foreign has played in several events of Hard Taste, A.I. Series and in clubs like NAO, Dub Club, Specka, Graffiti, Shagü Club, etc. Has also published several podcasts for different record labels (Sin Hilo, Gladio Operations, Zanderhythm, Archaic, etc.) and many web platforms.

In 2022 he created his own label, Mutoscope Records, mostly oriented to IDM sound and the first releases are already available.

Hello, lovely people out there.
I'm Cornello from Frankfurt am Main. Maybe some of you know me from gigs and parties around the city and region. I’ve been into digging for quite some time now, inspired by the underground music scene around the world.

A lot of the records used in this mix were newly discovered while sorting my record collection. After a long break, I finally got my freshly repaired turntables back and found a nice new mixer with the Bozak AR4.
It was just a lot of fun getting back into the collection and doing the first mix with the new setup.
The mix is a blend of different styles of dance music: a calm but still shaky approach, including dubby and progressive house elements merging into more trancy and tribal sounds, all while keeping the tempo at an easy mode.

I hope you all enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording it.
