What a bonkers night that was...  The time has come to unleash this beast of a set: the recording of Gramrcy's performance at Humboldthain back in December. This is Vision 013 w/ Gramrcy!

Going from the latest UK bass anthems to early 2000s tech house classics and techno deep cuts, Gramrcy's set is a tour de force that shows expertise and confidence in his play. @gramrcy is a Berlin-based DJ and producer. Alongside long-time friend Shanti Celeste, he's running the label Peach Discs where they have released records by the likes of Call Super, Parris and Peach. He has played a number of well-respected clubs, venues and festivals throughout Europe and the world, including Berghain, and has a monthly residency on Refuge Worldwide.

took a little breather after the end of the, I believe we can say, turbulent (🥵) year of 2023..... read on for a story.

in collaboration of my own beloved team of pos and the talented Amsterdam locals representing taped rhythm, we had been working for weeks to build a big nye event in Amsterdam Noord. 2 days in advance our location was cancelled. we swapped the entire event to a club, the other side, within a day. with regards to the program, that finn, tom, and me had built separately and with different visions for 2 warehouses, in the mids of the chaos we were faced with a challenge to combine our two programs into one. due to everyone’s resilience, flexibility, openness, and creativity, no artist had to be cancelled and the combined program could not have been more successful.

the combined event was extra meaningful in so many ways. It brought along new perspectives, so much power, and many lessons learned. a packed dancefloor at 9 am reflected all of that and we do it for you. to let go of what this year has brought. to inspire. to create. to help. thank u thank u thank u forever for all your hard work, my deepest respect to all of you, the boys of taped, pos, the amazing team of the other side, everyone that joined, and every single person close to us that stood by our side and helped out when we needed it most. it felt powerful. 

finn and me ended up playing the cutest and meaningful b2b representing both our teams, warming up the long night and morning ahead. originally I was scheduled to play for two hours in our own warehouse, and I had been preparing for weeks to create a specific experience for everyone that would have been present. I decided to record (a part of the) mix to listen back to. It reflects a transformative advancement into the realms of comfort. where chaos meets comfort, when you need it the most. read the titles. how do they make you feel? and then 2024…. i wish and deeply hope for you to receive all the support, strength, power, motivation, and inspiration you need for the year to come.

Hiii, Octo Octa here! I'm sharing a new mix series I'm doing under the name "Groovy Girl" and the first entry is "Bang The Drum" <3 

It is a house and acid percussive groover of a mix that will hopefully have you raving where ever you are. Mixed on two Technics 1210 M5Gs and a Pioneer A9 Mixer, plus some overdubs on the recording. 

This release is a Mix CD tracked so you can jump back over and over to your favorite part. The CD insert has photos of all of the records I used for the mix in order.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it. Can't wait to get started on the next in the series!!
