Combining the sounds of techno, acid, disco, house and electro, São Paulo-based DJ, producer, curator and label/agency boss  Amanda Mussi works hard to bring something fresh and new to the dance-floor.

Amanda is known as a strong presence in the queer underground music scene in São Paulo where she held her monthly party Dûsk for 5 years and now  she  is a resident at some of the best events in Brazil: Mamba Negra - where she debuted at her first Boiler Room,  Dando and Kode (Rio); she often appears as a guest at DGTL festival, Photon  and other local events.

Amanda has taken her sound on the road to many cities around Brazil and the world, like Asunción (Paraguay) where she grew up, New York’s infamous and best-regarded parties Unter and Jack Dept., Chile, Argentina, Stockholm, Moscow’s Mutabor,, Budapest’s LARM club, and to Berlin at Buttons & Pornceptual, and for the second time at Berghain, on the main floor.

La vigésima entrega de nuestras BOD Series está protagonizada por Ne/Re/A (@nereadelrio), DJ y productora vasca afincada en Nueva York desde 2014. Desde entonces, forma parte de la escena underground queer de Brooklyn, siendo una habitual del club Basement y con residencia en el club Bossa Nova Civic Club con la fiesta Distrik1, donde invita DJs emergentes de la escena local así como internacionales.

Su sonido, que se ha ido gestando en la escena techno underground de Nueva York, se inclina hacia los sonidos industriales, con influencias EBM, electro y darkwave. Como muestra de ello, su set de hora y 20 minutos en exclusiva para Basques on Decks.

Whether you're hearing a track or a DJ set, you can usually tell it's Nene H pretty quickly. In just a few years, Beste Aydin has developed a very specific approach within the realm of techno. She inhabits the genre yet colours just enough outside the lines without losing the plot—or the pull—entirely. The focus is on fun, on groove and on hooks, with sets that dip into trance, electro, ghetto house and even hints of hyperpop, tying in neon threads into techno's all-black garb. 

She's used techno as a jumping off point for orchestral and choral performances, as well as the poignant expression of grief (on her stellar debut album). She's become a regular at Berghain and groundbreaking festivals like CTM, traversing a highbrow-lowbrow line that posits that every kind of dance music deserves the highbrow treatment. Her RA Podcast is an irresistible hour of techno full of what she calls "Neneisms," turns into pop hooks amidst hulking techno beats and dips into funky, electro-informed beats.

I think it’s also marking a change in energy for me, a change that’s been happening out of my control lately — [there's been] some crazy chaotic energy appearing in my sets recently and I can’t explain why.
