Morah - Intergalactic Fm Festival 2021

The centennial podcast of this series is brought to us by Morah. At some point in his career, the dark prince of Athens and resident of the Phormix label and event series achieved a unique and iconic status with his unconventional take on gritty electronic music that transcends genres. The first time we experienced this in the flesh was in the old Griessmuehle location on the Sonnenallee in 2019 and were blown away.

Whether it was his debut release on Helena Hauff's label, or the many life-changing performances over the years that are well-documented, his body of work speaks for itself as he graces labels such as Berceuse Heroique, Vanila, Brokntoys, Lux Rec, and most recently on Body Musick as well as a self-released album called Zesta. He's captained the Phormix event series as a resident and is a core part of the Athens crew whose label boasts some of the most exciting releases coming out. He's added another time-lasting performance to his list during the most recent DT Camp two weeks ago. It should be no surprise that we invited him as a special guest for our ADE event together with Pinkman Records on October 19th and can't wait 

These are trying times for all with many significant global events taking place almost daily. With this as the backdrop, we hope this series has brought some enjoyment. Thank you very much to the artists that have contributed to the series over the last two years and to the listeners for tuning in every week. We look forward to seeing all of you on the dance floor. @DimGarden is captivated by the North Sea, its dune landscape and surrounding dark forests. Their musical endeavours expand into swampy synthesis, gothic electronic experimentation, and field recordings. Methods of music production and DJing include using the decks as a method of sound collage, blending warm and cold waves of sound. In addition to her musical pursuits, Dim Garden is also the founder and operator of Hunger!, a cassette and digital label based in The Hague. She has recently released her latest album, Elle Tombe La Lune, on cassette and digital through the French label Tanzprocesz. Dim Garden is also a member of the experimental electronic duo @BAGLOVER, alongside RJM Vanderheyden. Together, they bring their shared passion for experimental electronic music to the group, creating a dynamic and captivating sound.

Oliver has cut his teeth as an artist in London’s clubs and warehouses, born from within the capital's neglected walls and spaces. His sonic interests lay in a non-purist approach, a resistance against convention. With previous releases on labels such as Oraculo Records & Mosaique Records, 2023 marks the birth of his own imprint, launching with a six track compilation by various artist, setting the tone for the label.
