Catz 'n Dogz present a brand new EP on their Step Recordings, this time coming from Spanish House Music veteran Danny B.

After dropping Prog House rollers from Baldo and Youandewan or 4/4 Techno flavoured cuts from Lady Blacktronika and Elisa Bee, Step Recordings is about to release something more soulful and closer to original House music. The man behind this is Danny B, a Spanish producer heavily inspired by masters like Frankie Knuckles, ‪Larry Heard‬ and Kerry Chandler. His 'Find Myself' EP is a collection of 4 original tracks, a masterfully crafted mix of acidy basslines, broken beats, warm pads and dub flavoured stabs, the perfect combination of elements for dancefloor fillers. This week on Topshelf we are delighted to have with us Bristol-Based Italo Disco DJ/Producer Emmet Read.

One of the fresh young faces representing the new wave of Italo Disco in the UK alongside PADDY, REES, RED & Tech Support to name a few, Emmet Read's tight production, gorgeous synths and captivating bass lines are truly something to behold and have lead him to building an already impressive back catalogue of Italo anthems including tracks ‘Happy People’, ’Dxheaven’ and one our absolute favourite in ‘Humans’.

We’re at the start of a very exciting career, that seems set to reprise one of the most glorious decades in music and we are so there for it.

Catalina Viscoitaliano aka Cati Kate has been into music since she was born. The reason: She hails from a musical family. She studied Audio-visual Arts in Argentina and had two bands between 2008-2012 in La Plata. She co-created the collective Lacura in 2016 and has been playing as a DJ since 2015, mainly in Madrid, Buenos Aires, and La Plata. Her influences come from her music collection from all over the world and all time.

Irishman in Glasgow Peter Lawlor, better known under his artist name Polytunnel, just had his trend-setting single Outer Earth out on Made Magnetic, which came with remixes from artists like Denham Audio, Lighght and Jellypelt, and is not only a musical follow-up of previous releases but foremost the consolidation of the artist's status of "one to watch in the present and future." A status that was caused by previous releases on Seven Sign Recordings and Childsplay in 2022 respectively in 2019. Now Peter delivers the latest episode of the art:cast series and, of course, does not disappoint as he created a conglomerate of tracks that smoothly intertwine and keep the tension growing.
