We have been huge fans of her mixes and productions for years so it's a real pleasure to be sharing one of her trademark mixes with you. The hour long set is a smooth ride from textural ambient beginnings all the way to liquid drum & bass, with plenty of minimal, dusty house nestled deep within. A few weeks ago, Stólar label boss Philipp Priebe released his second LP named 'Apparent Calm Palms,' which stole our hearts instantaneously after listening to it. Over the last couple of years, Philipp has been steadily building a reputation as a talented producer who further explores the depths of hazy house music, culminating with releasing the aforementioned album via Mainz/Hamburg-based record label, Feuilleton. 
While the album is still fresh and on heavy rotation here at Delayed, we've got this marvelous live set from Philipp, which is a perfect addition to his album, featuring new and unreleased tracks from this talented German artist. It is a smooth deep house journey in its finest form.

After the release of his album ''Apparent Calm Palms'' in October 2022 on our imprint, he kept the machines being busy and created a whole lot of new studio material. His Feuilleton mix is a hybrid of upcoming releases, re-arranged in a flowing live set and two (yet unreleased) remixes made from Feuilleton album tracks by well known producers from the Dub Techno scene.

We are blessed to welcome our first artist to our new Podcast series. We say welcome dear XDB and thanks for contributing this beautiful vinyl only mix!

XDB is Kosta Athanassiadis – German by birth and in residence, with Greek parentage. His roots are in the central German town of Göttingen. It was here that he began DJing in the early nineties; where he worked in a record shop; where he ran a radio show for five years; and the base from which he established the Metrolux record label in 2006. 

For many people, it was at this point that XDB appeared on their radar.  He has no shortage of technical skill but it’s his selection that truly shines – putting the music itself at the forefront, letting songs breathe when need be, and delivering plenty of head-scratching ‘what the hell is this track?’ moments. It’s on this that Kosta has built his reputation. 

When it comes to producing, Kosta favours a slow and steady work rate, opting to focus on quality control rather than record shop ubiquity. His DJing keeps him in the public eye, but one gets the sense that XDB prefers to operate in the shadows. There’s a refreshing lack of gimmickry to his approach – keeping it low-key allows him to be judged solely on the basis of talent. Arguably, it’s an innate quality – the way he wants to play it; the way that brings him most satisfaction, but it’s helped establish his reputation as an artist of considerable merit, winning the approval his audience and peers, alike.
