A labour of love spanning over two years and numerous iterations, STP incorporates a Psychedelic sound named after one of Alexander Shulgin's earliest creations, the notorious DOM, which found its way onto the streets in the 60's under the somewhat ironic street name Serenity, Tranquility and Placidity, or STP. 

Throughout these three tracks, The Cyclist applies his unique sound processing approach to excursions through hypnotic ethereal techno, proto trance-inflected breakbeats and melancholic melodies culminating in a distinct kinetic sound that balances discretely between tension and euphoria. 

Or:la is on remix duties here and does not shy away from experimentation, producing a rich deconstructed take on Serenity, whose bolstering psychedelic sound goes beyond genre definition.

You don't have to look far in order to find sick stuff, and Lolo Batten is the living proof of that. The Paris-raised, Amsterdam-based DJ handpicked a fine direction through dubbed-out steppers, sublime drum rolls and an overall good proportion of filthy bass in a new Rhythmic Culture podcast. A selection that is as cold as it is heart-warming, from an artist that we are happy to call a true RC family member.
