Newtype Rhythms #180 - Special Guest: Cocktail Party Effect

Sheepshead is a born-and-bred Brooklynite curator/DJ who has been helming the Newtype Rhythms series for Inverted Audio since 2017. Highlighting artists on the come-up along with surprise sets from legendary titans, the series has developed into an event series that has been hosted in local Brooklyn institutions such as Jupiter Disco, Heaven Or Las Vegas, Elsewhere and beyond. Additionally, you’ve probably seen him play parties at Bossa Nova, House Of Yes and beyond whilst hosting b2b court over at The Lot Radio for his Newtype Flash show. 

Gathering influences from pivotal experiences at renowned parties such as Dub War and The Bunker, Sheepshead aims to continue the legacy of those events by entering into sonic parts unknown - playing out unique bass mutations that bounce between genres whilst never taking it all too seriously. The mix he's delivered is a more sub-sonic affair; into the depths of lower-end rumble and bass-fueled bliss. Sheepshead hits the ground running by bouncing between the worlds of funky, electro, breakbeats and mutant bass in a tightly-paced hour-long journey.
