A new episode of Warehouse Podcast has made LAG.
A promoter of underground culture, a DJ and a respected producer - Serbian-born Lag is on the forefront of the new wave of techno artists.

Growing up in the turbulent Balkans, he developed a unique outlook on expression, choosing electronic music to be the channel for his creative discharge. While the acquired punk influences and classical music education shines through his steady output, he doesn't shy away from exploring beyond what he is most known for - gritty, rhythmical techno with an attention-grabbing attitude. While Lag's releases on MORD, THEM and Elements have put him on the map, his remix work and odd tracks released on various labels show diversity in what he is capable of.

Lag’s many DJ performances speak volumes of his ability to sonically engage his crowd, taking them on an intense journey: expertly curated and skillfully carried out. Through his DJ sets, as well as his other work promoting the underground culture (whether it's through writing, organizing workshops or running club nights) Lag puts efforts into closing the gap between the “good” and the “known”. His undeniable quality and hard work quickly took him from playing local clubs to touring the world, making him Serbia's techno ambassador and allowing him to spread the message which someone who lived through war and discord can best understand - a message of inclusiveness and unity.

Lag is set to stay on his current path as his mission, his initial vision, is yet to flicker. His ruthless determination is awe-inspiring, and is, along with his musical prowess, the main reason for his rising popularity. Lag is definitely someone to keep an eye on, but more importantly - someone to listen to.

Gonzo MDF [Counterweight, Rote Sonne]
The Dj, Producer and co-owner of the label Counterweight Gonzo MDF was born in the 80s in a
small town of Andalucia and is currently based in Munich .
Gonzo was already a techno addict for years when he moved to Munich in 2010, but after he
arrived in the Bavarian city he immediately felt the need of a stronger & harder Techno presence
in the city. Hit by this scenario and his passion for playing vinyl, in 2014 Gonzalo and some
friends finally decided to set up their own music project under the acronym SPVBT and started
placing some parties in small venues and off locations.
In 2016 he started alongside with Marco H a new event series called Counterweight, which takes
place once in a month in the stunning Rote Sonne. Since the beginning, Counterweight was
characterized for their rough sound and focused their bookings on acts that didn’t play in the
city before such as Dax J, Stranger, I Hate Models, Sunil Sharpe, Freddy K or Ansome, just to
name a few.
In 2017 Gonzalo and Marco decided to move one step further and their platform Counterweight
became also a record label. The first two references of the label were delivered by Gonzo MDF
including a collaboration of the great Endlec. The releases quickly got attention of some of the
heavyweight artists of the scene and got played in some of the most important venues in
Europe.
Gonzo’s sets could be defined by only one word: action. Expect the perfect mixture of early 00’s
Techno with the present, lots of tracks you’ve never heard before and for sure, most of it on
Vinyl.

Reiging in on the cleaner corners of oscillation, Jacklyn navigates through her collection of puristic techno styles. 

Included in DJ Mag's emerging artist spotlight in their Febuary issue, this mix is a clear reflection of why she has earned an such organic growth in the scene over recent months. 
In her impressive contribution, the previous Rinse FM radio guest toys with atmospheric landscapes. Cooking together moodier raw European techno styles with synth-loaded Detroit-esque bombs. 

Jacklyn’s self released productions via her bandcamp page has gained traction among artists such as Francios X. The ‘Slack Radio’ resident welcomes a trip to Berlin next week for her Tresor debut on the legendary Grounded Theory takeover.

"For me, this mix sounds different from my recent mixes. Pace is almost the same, but it is definitely less aggressive and more 'soulful'. It speaks to your feet as well as your mind imho. Hailing from Paris, François X has forged his position as fierce DJ and producer, as one of France’s finest exports in the world of techno.

Gaining attention in the mid-2000s as a frenetic techno kid with debut releases on Dj Deep imprint, Deeply Rooted, and numerous appearances at local clubs, his career kickstarted in 2012 with his Concrete residency. There he shaped many sonically adventurous stories and led him to be a regular at notable institutions from major festivals ( Exit Festival, Melt Festival, Audioriver, Nuits Sonores) to play closing sets at Berghain.

François’ love for the club has brought with it a reputation as a vibrant artist behind the turntables. Channelling obscure, forgotten and timeless techno gems, his fantasied sets capture themes of passion and utopia through a myriad of frenzied sounds from the 90’s acid to forward-thinking techno.
It was in the record stores that he met French electronic music pioneer and close friend Dj Deep and quickly convinced him to release a total of three releases for the seminal Parisian imprint.

Before long, François launched his own imprint DEMENT3D in 2011, a vivid record label noted by Resident Advisor as a key cog in the French music renaissance. It has been the home of his last five releases and his debut album ‘Irregular Passion’, hailed by Groove Magazine in their top debut LPs of 2018, Providing the perfect example of François X’s ability to merge sensual and rich textures amongst darker elements through electronica off-kilter techno adventures.
Since May 2019 François X has welcomed the birth of ‘XX LAB’, a new multicultural platform which explores genres across the electronic sphere and has released to critical acclaim his latest projects Murky dreams and Irregular Passion Reshaped to launch the venture.
