I was fortunate enough to close the first edition of 'Deep Spring' - a friends & family/grassroots-style outdoor festival which took place within rural Victoria across the first weekend of October. This was some of the most fun I've had playing in quite some time (although I always enjoy myself thoroughly) but it doesn't get much better than tearing through your favourite music whilst playing to the best crew about. The foot was firmly on the floor for this one as I ripped through many shades of House, Techno, Electro, UK bits, Icelandic Trap and more to a crowd of super receptive headz. Lots of love to Miles and Sam who made it all possible (of @spacedistheplace fame), the impeccable roster of knockout DJs and the wonderful friends who danced along for the final sequence. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed letting it all out. Xx

Locking in with a new episode of our Truancy Sessions series with a mix of hi-energy hypnotics from Toronto-based DJ and tastemaker Kuscheln. An all-round purveyor of playful, thought-provoking dance music, he has become a staple figure in the Toronto underground, with his Klub Ferret parties offering nights of steamy dance-offs and queer revelry to a soundtrack of the hottest house and bubbling bass. His mix for us today is party perfection, rolling through with an infectious palette of  late night mind twisters, soaring grooves and big room breaks. As the curveball-loving fans that we are at Truants too, we've completely lost count of the amount of times we've wheeled up the Spice Girls remix in this mix. An unreal statement of flow and taste over 100 glorious minutes.

The host of this podcast is Chanel Kadir, Draaimolen’s external PR officer who has been working with the team since 2023. Outside of that, she works across many different creative platforms within the music sphere including editorial-led platforms such as Untitled 909 and wav.world. She's also the co-curator of the F1-focused mix series G-FORCE and host of radio residencies across Netil Radio and Refuge Worldwide.

This podcast is edited and composed by Tilburg music producer Ramses3000, also known as multidisciplinary artist Yannick Verhoeven. Incorporating ambient, jazz, new age and psychedelic music, the classical and digital worlds meet in Yannick's sonic world. He has recently released his new album 'Thalamus' on Intercept Records, for which he spent three months in a monastery with the aim of composing music that helps the listener to relax and process the stimuli of everyday life.
