this vocal-piano-heavy mix is about being in love. trying to cast and express the plurality of feelings i’ve been experiencing these last months. it starts with two prayers that allow myself to feel, deserve and welcome this love. it moves onto trancey desire, bumpy playfulness, hoppy needyness, bassy xtc and euphoric gratitude. 
this mix was hard to record tbh these tracks never fail to make my body rock to the beat, impossible to stay fully focused.

Advice for the DJs, producers and artists of our community 
Hmm, I would say be inspired by and connect with other people, nature, life , parties or whatever gets you going, exploring different avenues, but always be true to your own individual sound. The more you make, the more you dance, and the more you mix your sound will find you. Do what makes you happy, practice, dig for your life, and if you work hard enough your time will come bbz. Take time to have fun with your friends ! Coz at the end of the day, that’s all that is really guaranteed in this fickle industry, without selling your soul of course ! And ask yourself, is this for love or money? Money ofc can bring happiness and stability, but shared experiences are worth more. Learn to really love yourself and put your mental health first.

❁ Something else I would like to highlight is HEARING PROTECTION! ! ! ! !  
I absolutely recommend getting moulded hearing protection coz the club is sometimes just too damn loud. Let’s make the most of life and what we have, and if you’re blessed with hearing I suggest you cherish it and look after it. You can get cute funky colours and they will become a cute raving accessory. Its also way easier to hear your friends in the club and you won’t need to shout. It means you can enjoy the subs and be closer to the speakers safely. I have a dear friend who is suffering currently and it affects a lot more than just your precious ears lemme tell you.  This doesn’t just apply to DJs, anyone working in a club, or raving. PLEASE !  Theres something in London, the Musicians’ Hearing Health Scheme, which some people are lucky enough to benefit from, give it a go, its mega discounted, but even if it isn’t.. Treat yourself. Baby G is a DJ and producer from Aotearoa, based in Naarm/Melbourne. Focused on energy and pace, Baby G’s selections are guided by her experience as a drummer and musician. Droning bass and hypnotic textures are met with driving percussion and electro-infused sequences throughout her club sets, navigating listeners through shifting tempos and rhythms.

Baby G’s DJ sets and productions are captivating, mysterious and ever evolving, landing her on lineups such as Pitch Music and Arts, Hopkins Creek, Strawberry Fields and Beyond The Valley. Alongside her latest festival bookings, Baby G has just released her debut EP ‘Heavy Curb’ earlier this year through Melbourne/London based label Phenomena Records.

"A big inspiration for this set was the queer UK club scene of the mid 90’s, with labels like Sharp Recordings and Higher State Records.
It's an excerpt of my garden closing at Body Language (at Re:mise in Berlin) back in August 2023.
It is very high energy - 90’s restless belters only - so it will be perfect for a little dance at home, or working out for example."


Body Language resident, @bpm131bpm has played their first all vinyl-only closing garden set in the club, and it’s brilliant. Luckily, it’s been recorded for us to immortalise online for everyone who was unlucky enough not to be present at its incarnation.
