Hi My name is Mor, My pronouns are She/Her but i'm also comfortable with they/them.

What sound would you listen to… if it was the only thing you could listen to 24/7?

Describe in detail your favorite place in the club?

The dance floor, there's no club without a dance floor and no party without a solid dancing crowd (not quantity, quality) its where all the magic happens!

What is your favorite party/collective where you reside and why?

Reef and Subglow, both parties organized by dear friends. Reef is a special space for bass music on the edges centered in the best club ,Berghain. It's great seeing that music have place there and work so well. 

Subglow is a new party that is already cultivated an amazing community around it, its incredible to see energy on the dance floor at those parties.

If you could transfer all your knowledge from what you do now into something completely different, what would it be and why?

A have a secret wish ( well not anymore lol) to be a booker at a club or a festival, building balanced diverse line ups is an exciting task. Probably not easy as well.

What would you like to see in the future for the dance community?

Quality over quantity

One of Dublin's most regarded heads takes the reigns for our 39th Off The Record mix. Nevan Jio over the years has found himself in many aspects of Ireland's striving underground scene, mostly Dublin, where he helms the ones and twos nearly every weekend in the cities hot spots the likes of Tengu, Wigwam, Izakaya and more. He has also found himself abroad on many occasions most noticeably opening the year supporting don Ben UFO in The Cause's new beloved DIY warehouse venue alongside EMA. Nevan has also applied his experience of working in All City records and collecting records in general to go on to running label's like Pear (With fellow Dublin wiz Fio Fa)which saw an array of house, breaks and tech house from names like Regularfantasy, New Members, Fio Fa and Big Miz as well as more recently the Irish club focused reissue label Aris which has so far seen classics take new light from Fish Go Deep, Bumble and Rob Rowland. 
For this mix Nevan has given us a vast genre spanning call card of a mix that shows the selectors diversity and range showcasing some home listening dashed with the club in mind and well into the afters for a few White Claws! We have a quick chat with Nevan to hear about the concept behind the mix and what he has coming up:

Influences: my wider influences are quite varied; they can be as obvious as sport/athletic performance, late 90s new york fashion/street style, to more subtle things like the textures of plants, or a good conversation for example. Musically, I often gravitate towards euphoric, romantic, groovy styles. They need not be genre specific. Musical influences include E.B.E., Vince Watson, K-Hand to name a few but there are so many !!

Advice for the DJs, producers and artists of our community: I recently spoke at a panel hosted at Abbey Road Studios and someone asked a question regarding building an audience/exposure as an artist. I truly believe surrounding yourself with like-minded people and/or creating in alignment with your values goes a long way. Giving value and purpose that is meaningful to you and your immediate audience will always go the distance.

CCL (@ccl-url) has many tricks and plenty of surprises up their sleeve. London-born, US-bred but now Berlin-based, they are playful in what they play but serious about how they play it, whether that's head spinning 160bpm cut, "cowgirl-breaks or wiggle steppers." The key for this multidisciplinary artist and former New Forms festival curator is to find the similarities and differences between shades of sound and rhythm and exploit them to spellbinding effect. As a producer, they are no different and have always managed to find fresh in-between sounds on labels like Fever AM and Discwoman. 

The singular DJ steps up this week with almost two hours of pure sonic adventure. It's a perfect showcase of how they can soundtrack imaginary worlds from humid future jungles to robot dances in the sky. You'll hear rhythms you could never imagine and contort your body in impossible ways, all while admiring the dexterity of the DJ who has threaded together such a trippy trip.
