I’d picked up a bunch of Tursio’s tracks and reached out to him online to see if he was working on anything. This one started out as a more ’94 style cut but I thought the beat patterns and bass sounds really suited something a bit more jump up in vibe. Those excessive kick rolls, 90s R&B vocals and wobbly bassline turned it into something reminiscent of the Bristol and Leceister sounds from ’95. Fun!

Dubruvvas - 01/05/2024

With my newly obtained knowledge of how to fit 5 Beats of 175 over 140 4/4 drums I wanted to try and blend my usual Dubstep style with some elements from Drum and Bass. NIA ARCHIVES - FORBIDDEN FEELINGS is an absolute classic tune, and very fitting for me to kick off trying to bootleg. To dubstep purists this may be too much, but to DNB purists this would be considered blasphemy, so I tried to capture the "forbidden feeling" I had when trying to push this new method out into the DAW. 

The prog-metal drummer in me couldn't help but try and genre bend it even more with some guitars and syncopation on top of it all. So enjoy n get lost in it. There will always be an element you can try and catch onto at some point.
