One of the slickest new selectors in the scene, quickly rising through the ranks, Matthew Neequaye has already provided some outstanding musical moments, not to mention those witnessed on-site at this year's festival. Ben Koops is an avid record digger who I met in an afterparty at a common friend's place.

Ben's range of music was extremely impressive, at the time he wasn't yet playing out so much so I invited him to open Toi Toi at Lion & Lamb for A Guy Called Gerald's live and then to Desyn a few months later. 

Ben has been on a steady route since, playing out in many of London's best underground parties, not to mention the kind and sweet soul he is.

For our series Ben presents a very specific / stripped down set which is totally fitting to our platform. Unlike most who tend to go for presenting a wide range of genres, Ben decided to really put a lens in to specifics. What you get is an elegant / linear set, meticulously constructed, beauty.

Having been partners in crime since 2019, the duo of Bobby. and Mariiin have traversed the globe presenting their electro tinged take on house and techno. The collaboration has been cemented with their longstanding residency London Pleasure Club and has seen many highlights including many festivals and clubs along the way with their b2b set at Houghton and the Cartullis birthday soiree coming as a personal milestone. This was last year and these two rising stars have one hell of a summer stretching out before them that includes stints at Love International in Croatia, FUSE London’s OFF Week party in Barcelona, this year’s Houghton Festival as well as a slew of club dates at their second home of fabric and farther afield.

With a short interlude at the beginning of their mix for our InSession series, it is not long before they dive headlong into a flurry of gnarly bass driven pingers. Garnered from their travels and sheer immersion in their sonic environment has meant the pair have sharpened their tools to such a point that they can do nothing but stand out from the burgeoning underground and of course their peers. Listen on to catch just shy of 2 hours of the finest breaks fuelled, acid soaked records committed to wax.

We feel extremely honoured to be able to present the next addition to our mix series, our dear friend Bart live at Distrikt.

In his time on this planet, Bart only ever played out a handful of times. He wasn’t particularly infatuated with the the glitz associated with the DJ lifestyle, above all his focus lay with digging for incredible music. By the time his talents began to receive the attention they deserved, he already possessed a bag of tunes so refined it would’ve been easy to mistake him for someone who’d been at it for twice as many years as he.

The recording is the majority of his 2 1/2 hour set, enduring until till the club’s close. It is a prime example of what DJing can be when it’s at its best, a journey with moments of elation, introspection, complexity and even humour too. We saw Bart’s tunes bring a feeling of unity to the Distrikt dancefloor seldom seen in any club which is a memory we will always cherish.

The Co-Founder of Pager Records already released a bunch of EP's & founded his very own imprint Freizeit Records in the beginning of 2021 on which he has also put out two strong EP's by himself. Much more to come in the future. Definitely worth checking out.

Surely one of the best DJs in the game of House Music, Gene has not only presented killer mix after killer mix showcasting the immense depth of his collection, he also is a very good producer himself - constantly raising the bar on his very own "Limousine Dream" imprint. 

For 5918mins., Gene slows things down a couple of BPM and leads us through the downtempo side of things, with the same combination of thorough- and playfulness that has become a hallmark of his mixes. We're very happy to have him onboard and will patiently wait in line for track IDs. Enjoy!
