Slam return to their own radio show with a live mix recorded at their Return To Mono night at Glasgow's Sub Club - a night they played alongside Blasha & Allatt + Mani Dee.

The mix contains many tracks from their recent "Louder Than Chaos" project on Soma, which are a set of collaborations produced during lockdown with artists such as 9x9's, Hector Oaks, Optic Nerve, Perc, Rebekah, AnD + Amelie Lens - some of which are already released and others due to surface in the very near future.

Kobosil is one of the new wave of artists to have emerged under the wing of Berghain. As well as being a resident at the club, the Berlin DJ and producer has also released on its in house labels Ostgut Ton and Unterton, as well as on fellow resident Marcel Dettmann’s own eponymous imprint. His dark, heavy sound also gave rise to a debut full length earlier this year, and with its clear focus on big linear drums and shadowy atmospheres, it proved he is here to stay. Now, the boss of his own RK label steps up to our series with a similarly impressive mix. 

Starting out in frazzled and dystopian fashion, the mix wastes little time in setting a high impact, high tempo techno agenda. Overdriven percussion and lurching synths, wild machine sounds and thumping drums are all hurried and forceful and encourage you to lean right into the grooves, head down, stomping away. It is a powerful and maximal one hour selection that cannot fail to get your attention.

Since the turn of the millennium, UK artist Alistair Wells has been putting out a tough and abrasive brand of experimental techno that cannot fail to arrest your attention. Always skewing existing ideas into his own new—often brutalist—ways of thinking, his output has seen him become an in demand live act and DJ who plays across three decks all over the world. He does so under the alias Perc, mostly on his own label Perc Trax, and at the same time he has also brought on a number of likeminded artists from Ansome to Manni Dee. His own catalogue boasts albums like Wicker & Steel and The Power And The Glory, and these have rightfully won him deserved time in the limelight. That fact proves that although Wells has been around for years, he is as vital now as ever. 

As such he brings something new to our mix series across an hour of lively selections. Very quickly settling into a high tempo, high impact groove, there are maximalist techno cuts, passages of angst ridden noise and thumping bangers all bolted together into something uncompromisingly physical and in your face. Franky, it’s a vital visceral offering that would work at any point in the past, present or future of techno.

Her performances oscillate around techno, electronic body music, rave, industrial and beyond. In her side project – Try – premiered at 2017 Unsound Festival, she portrays inspirations from polish folklore music & ambient, as well as from 80s industrial & early techno.
