Mark Kloud is notably known for his abstract and experimental approach in uptempo electronic music. With over 20 years of experience as a DJ and over 10 as a producer, he has carved his name into the underground Drum and Bass/Jungle scene. His most recent output is "Moonquake" LP on Lossless Music's sub-label Exkursions and the "Left Stranded" EP on Modern Conveniences. Growing up in Romania, Anca found her love for music when she began singing at fourteen. Following a long break after pursuing her academic career, Anca became more involved in the music scene as a promoter before discovering the art of DJing in 2016, encouraged by fellow national Kapno.
Entering the world of Drum & Bass whilst studying at University in 2001, it wasn't long before Anca kicked off her first radio show on Drums.ro Radio - which welcomed the opportunity to support the likes of DJ CHEF, Mauoq, Kisscut, Kan-Jacca and Dutchi to name a few. Completing a fruitful move to London in 2017 welcomed her first live feature on lifefm.tv as a guest on @Sweetpeadnb's show. Then came guest-mixes for @Liquiform Up North and @Vykhod Sily, then came a string of opportunities to play alongside some of her favorite producers/DJs, with the support and in support of EQ50.

For the 2nd set of the night we had Doc Scott taking it back to the 90's in front of a sold out crowd, this is the 2nd of the 3 recordings that we are uploading from this memorable mid-summer event. It was a special night in June of this year with 800+ people crammed into Xoyo's upstairs room (from pretty much before the very first needle was placed on the record until going past the nights extended close). Again a big thanks to Benji B for inviting us down to take over the room.

Doc Scott - Deviation Presents 'Metalheadz History Session', XOYO, London - 27.06.15

Here comes my first Atmospheric Session, for the year 2018. This time, there are some jazzier vibes thrown in for the flavour, also entries from artists or labels not normally associated with such music. 

To be completely honest, I recorded this mix in April already. I have an unhealthy habit of digesting the end result for a while, to listen to it through and through over and over again, to find the slightest mistakes. Perfectionism meets procrastination, so to speak. Fast forward three months - I reach the very same conclusion I usually do. This mix is great as it is, after all, it's all about the music. Each individual track has something to add into the blend, and my style tends to jump across different moods.

1. HOW IS ONSET AUDIO BORN?
Onset Audio began as a weekly DNB night in Seattle, Washington. Running for over 10 years, it was a regular stop for international drum & bass artists touring on the West Coast. With the influx of talent and unreleased music circulating, the label was formed in 2008 as an outlet for up and coming producers. 

2. WHO IS BEHIND THIS CONCEPT?
Initially it was 4 guys from the Onset crew: Grym, Flatlyne, Cease and TZR. Now Grym runs day to day operations as label boss and TZR does mastering.

3. WHAT KIND OF IDEAS ALWAYS ACCOMPANY YOUR LABEL?
In recent years the label has become an outlet for halftime and experimental sub-genres of DNB and jungle, with some focus on ambient and irregular beat structures. Conceptually we are looking for deep, dark, tribal and esoteric explorations within the 170 realm. Each release is accompanied with carefully crafted artwork to help visualize the mood of the music.

4. WHAT MESSAGES DO YOU WANT TO TRANSMIT WITH THE MUSIC YOU PERFORM?  
A sense of atmosphere, mood, and a cinematic cyberpunk journey.

5. WHAT CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT UPCOMING PROJECTS?
Lots of great music in the pipeline from our ever-expanding global roster. Big releases from Khords, HEFT, Sorse, and newcomer Vex Seven, Akuratyde's alias. 

6. DEFINE ONSET AUDIO WITH A SINGLE WORD

@antagonistuk, Manchester UK , has had a keen interest in music since being a teenager. Having started out Djing through pirate radio at the back end of the cassette tape era in late 2004 and progressing into the club circuit around 2009. Antagonist has been building a journey for years, experimenting with various genres of music until finally setting the concrete down with the darker and cinematic side of drum&bass & electronic music.

With a growing number of releases on Samurai Music and his own imprint Discipline plus a selection of other known labels, Antagonist continues his own vision of D&B and broken beats. Keeping the textures dark and ethereal with emphasis on atmospherics and grooves.
With his music supported well outside of the circuit from the likes of DJ Shadow on BBC-R6 . Also running the Manchester based 'Pandemik' club event 2009-2015,

Drawing inspiration from the distinctive Manchester D&B sound and outside influences, Antagonist has carved his own route into the to scene.
