Cecilia Tosh, a German-Mozambican artist and entrepreneur, is a driving force in Berlin's music scene. As a co-founder of SEV and CURA Berlin, she nurtures emerging DJs and producers within the club culture.🎵

Drawing inspiration from Detroit Techno and Dub Techno, Cecilia creates sets that immerse listeners in deep, trippy grooves. Her debut EP „Run With The Wolves“ was released on her own label, SEV Records, in 2020. This episode we dive into the world of V4ND4N4 (Vandana) as she explores the cyclical nature of life. As humans it is a gift to experience the full spectrum of emotion, from grief to despair, to joy and excitement, and in each season we are gifted with new eyes and new life. This mix starts slow with Reggae, Amapiano and Soul sprinkled with poetry, transitioning to bass heavy selections to encourage freedom and release through dance. A slow change, this mix mimics the process of healing and discovering the self after heartbreak.

Mumdance embraces a much wider world of sound than many. The UK producer is an experienced collaborator who grounds his sounds in anything from grime to breaks, techno to hardcore, experimental to world and afro. Making textured noise with a module set up, playing sets that run a dizzying gamut of genres and performing live with the likes of Novelist, he is a restless creative who works with labels like Tectonic, Keysound Recordings and XL Recordings. On top of all this, he runs his own Different Circles label, heads up one of Rinse FM’s most popular radio shows and designed sound presents for the relaunched 303 and 909 machines by Roland.

His mix for us is a beguiling, hard to categorise blend of all of this, forthcoming stuff and more: from brain frying frequencies and skeletal grooves from somewhere on the hardcore continuum to sci-fi ambiance, deep techno rhythms and immersive passages of raved-up sound design, it is a singular proposition from someone who embodies many different aspects of UK electronic music past, present and future, often all at once.
