MYRA is a Dutch Techno DJ and producer with pure passion and an ever-evolving taste for electronic
music. MYRA favors to translate herself into up-tempo groovy rhythms with hard hitting percussions, and mysterious textures where she explores the more trippy and hypnotic side of techno. This powerful blend of sounds, creatively merged, releases energy to everyone present.
 
Coming from a musical family, MYRA started playing piano at a young age. Soon after she discovered
electronic music, and over the years she gathered a carefully chosen vinyl and digital music selection that developed into her distinct and unique taste for electronic music.
Taking the next step, MYRA got into producing music and released her first tracks. She also started to play
at renowned (underground) clubs and festivals throughout the Netherlands with recent highlights like Awakenings and ANTIDOTE, where the latter she also holds a residency.
 
MYRA is a graduate [2022] of the Electronic Music Academy at the conservatory of Amsterdam where she
honed her musical and creative capacities. At the conservatory she discovered her fascination for
analogue gear, that she now uses intensively as a producer. Her artistic journey is just starting to unfold,
propelled by a mindset and drive to push boundaries, and aiming to become a live act in the near future.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ VOLPE

Volpe is a respected Argentinian techno artist with over a decade of experience behind the decks.  
His passion for Techno was sparked when he was just 15 years old and was able to experience the genre in its true form, through underground clubs and powerful sound systems. As a DJ, his early career was primarily with a focus on sub-genres such as Deep and Detroit, followed by experimentation in Dub, Tribal, and Hardgroove. He has always aimed to transmit a sense of harmony, energy, and emotion through his music, with a preference for danceable beats. 
Volpe's artistic roots are steeped in the rich traditions of Jazz, imbued with its complex chord structures and harmonization, mixed with the Funk driving grooves and feel of the swing, steeped in Dub Reggae textures full of echo, reverb, and phaser, and also deeply rooted in the rhythmic pulse of Afrobeat. He views himself as a synthesis of his musical influences and inspirations. 
As a long-time resident of Buenos Aires' underground electronic scene, he has established himself as a leading figure in the local techno community, regularly performing at the city's top clubs and parties. He has also gained recognition for his productions, which have been released on esteemed labels such as Frenzy, Sungate, Artaphine, Mitsubasa and UИCAGE. His talents have garnered the support of notable figures in the techno scene, including Ben Sims, Jeroen Search, DJ Bone, Rødhad, and many others. 
Volpe is now based in Berlin and continues his international gigs, while he is also preparing his new hardware live set and launching his own music label. Additionally, he continues to make appearances on leading podcasts and channels.  
As an artist, he believes it is imperative to have diverse life experiences in order to effectively communicate his message, and he carefully curates his selections for his listeners, as he believes that music has the power to heal.

Phara spins an intricate, contemporary take on techno while never losing touch with the genre's essence while being heavily influenced by Detroit, Berlin, and the UK sounds, as well as post-punk, wave, EBM, and electro. He emerged on the international scene with the "Next Of Kin" album on Black Sun Records. After EP releases on labels like Soma, SK Eleven, Stockholm LTD, and Planet Rhythm, Phara also founded "Phaaar," his own record label. He's known for his vinyl-only DJ sets, blending fast rhythms, industrial vibes, and dub pulses. 🔊

We are thrilled to release this mix as part of our Mixtape series, since it’s a recording of Phara’s live set for the 29-year-celebration of one of Spandau20's favorite clubs, @fusebrussels . 🖤

"It's a 1:20 h extract of a two-hour set. Recorded using two Korg Electribe EMX-1's, an Oto Boum and a Allen Heath Xone96 Mixer. It was the closing set of the first day of a sold out birthday weekend, right underneath the Brussels South train station. It was the first time I played with two Electribes – definitely a gig I will never forget. Unfortunately, the power in the club went down after a while, which cut the recording in half." 🔥

"Earlier this year I was playing at a friend's birthday party in Croatia (hi Allan). He is a connoisseur of electronic music so the people he invited to play were pretty diverse, music style-wise. It's really rare for me to be blown away by someone's set but after me a guy called Odd from Kuala Lumpur started playing and he blew me away to pieces. Not only did he play some of the best techno I heard all year (I didn't recognize a single track) but he did it in a way that I realized I was sorely missing: stable, hypnotic, groovy (actually groovy, not just a big kick and then some afterthoughts behind it), always advancing but also always persuasive in its message.
I hope I channeled a bit of what he did in this set. It's very hard for someone who grew up listening to too much IDM/Braindance to be as patient and consistent as is needed for this type of sets, but I think I managed to meet this very fond memory of a summer morning and my wanderlust for the entire spectrum of emotions and energies somewhere halfway.

Anyways, Odd and Allan - this one is for you."

MYRA is an emerging and exciting artist on the rise and resident DJ at the Amsterdam-based Label and event series ANTIDOTE. MYRA favors to translate herself into hypnotic yet powerful techno, focusing on strong percussive elements with mysterious textures where she explores the more deep and trippy side of techno.
