Some time ago I asked Donato to compile the “Rome” edition of the 200th podcast for electronique.it.

His response to this challenge is a techno mix that I can best describe as an intense, intimate and evocative portrait of the reality that is Rome. While drawing on a wide range of source material and inspiration from the past, he constructs a deeply personal mix that is directed towards the future. It is, in a word, epic!

Masa is originally from Japan but resides in NYC and is studded frequently along the lineups of NYC parties. I saw Masa open the main stage room at Sustain Release in September this year and his set was one of my favourites of the weekend. He's definitely one of those DJs who has mastered a massive range of styles and genres, with this mix a perfect showcase of his fluid but cohesive style and vast and impressive collection of music. It had me dancing down the street when I listened for the first time :')
