Global online radio stations Rinse FM and Seoul Community Radio (SCR) have announced a transcontinental collaboration aimed at introducing new worldwide audiences to artists from their respective bases in Europe and Asia.  

The partnership will see South Korea-based station SCR takeover the Rinse airwaves first Saturday of each month, broadcasting fresh tracks and regional DJ mix showcases from their studio in Seoul.

In return, the London based pirate radio pioneer will broadcast to SCR during the second Tuesday of each month - primetime in Seoul - with a selection of rising talent from their diverse artist roster.

Each broadcast will take place across both  SCR & Rinse’s radio, audio and video streaming platforms, as well as Rinse France, aiming to broaden horizons and introduce new sounds to each station’s separate audiences.

The programme kicked off Saturday 18 July 1200-1600 BST (Rinse FM), 1300-1700 CET (Rinse France) & 2000-0000 KST (SCR) with a 4-hour launch special from SCR’s studio with hour-long sets from rising Korean talents, Fallens, Apachi, Ana Kim and Salamanda all representing different shades of the Seoul scene.

From Paris to Berlin, and now Barcelona, La Fraicheur is a queer feminist activist who has the drive to dj for countless hours, no matter the place. She has been making a name for herself with her signature sound and powerfully diverse techno sets for two decades. 

Not only has she been running parties in Berlin’s renound clubs such as Wilde Renate and Mensch Meier, but she has been a resident at Berlin’s Gegen, a regular DJ for the city’s diverse queer clubs Buttons, Pornceptual, and House of Red Doors, as well as being a member of Female:Pressure. 

In the last years,  La Fraicheur extended her craft by producing her own music ranging from Techno to Electronica. She wrote her critically acclaimed and politically charged debut album during an artist residency at the Underground Resistance studios in Detroit. That same year, she was also invited by Roland to launch the TR-8S alongside djs Steffi, Virginia, and Catnapp.

When it comes to political matters,  La Fraicheur has also raised over 6600€ (7270.72 USD) by turning her merch into an intersectional feminist fundraiser. The money was donated to NGOs supporting women, migrant, trans people, queer homeless youth, and victims.  

As of this year,  La Fraicheur will launch ‘House of (S)PUNK’, a transfeminist record label focusing on young, queer, trans, cyborg, and female electronic artists of the new pandemic-born rave scene within Barcelona.

Raised in the Jazz music mileu, Peahlyfe cut the cord and transmorphed into a Hydra-sonic electronic musician that shook&seduced the Copenhagen fast-paced techno scene, claiming their seat along with the honorable Fast Forward gang. 

Peachlyfe’s productions and live-sets rebelliously weave across genres, trippy melodies cut with heavy slaps while slithering whispers in your ear sowing the dismantlement of the ‘cistem’. Their previous EP “All Tits are Real, All Money is Fake, All Hail Satan” is an ode to that anarchic-playfulness, a marvellous feat in blending rave-rush joy and queer defiance.

 For this Crystal Series, Peachlyfe carries all the longing for a dancefloor and threads a slow-burn moody trip. First, they set our mind on a loopy trance, bassy, steady, time-stretching rising steps. The mind inflammation then takes our limbs. Amidst this puppetry, with a sly-sudden release of the straps, Peachlyfe generates euphoria and unruly movements. Where did this smile on our faces come from? All of a sudden we are dancing.
