ロンドンの注目デュオTwo Shellの東京追加公演としてLocal World x E.O.Uのコラボとなるニューイヤー・パーティ開催！球体を浮かべるTopiaを空間ディレクションに交え、UKクラブ・ミュージックを軸にディープ&テックなダンス・フロアの再構築へと向かう新年のリフレッシュ・ナイト2023🌏

2016年に渋谷のWWWにて始動、アートとファッションにも連なるエレクトロニック・ミュージックにおけるリズムとモードにフォーカスする〈Local World〉は2010年代中期の脱構築期(deconstructed club)に生まれ、ジャマイカの奇妙なダンスホールから始まり、これまでにアフロやアジアのフューチャリズムも念頭とした世界各地の多種多様のリズム（フットワーク、ゴム、アマピアノ等）やコンテンポラリーなモード、クラブ・カルチャーの源泉でもあるブラック・ミュージックやクィア・カルチャーに感化されながらハイパーポップにまで至る旅を経て第27回を開催する。

今回はハイパー世代のパワフルかつカラフルな音像でユースのダンス・フロアをジャック、最近ではアンビエントな”サウンドスケープ”へ傾倒する京都のE.O.Uとロンドンの注目デュオTwo Shellを迎えたコラボレーション・パーティ。Two Shellの特色でもあるマキシマムにデジタル圧縮された音像のテキスチャを”テック”とし、ドラムンベース、アマピアノ、ドリル含む現行のUKクラブ・ミュージックを軸としながら一晩かけてダンス・フロアを紡ぐ”ディープ”な空間=ミニマルな指向性を試みる。ローカルからFactaとK-LONEによるロンドンの〈Wisdom Teeth〉から最新作をリリースした名古屋のabentis、京都の〈85acid〉から最新作をリリースした東京のOyubi、2名のプロデューサーを迎え、DJには大阪〈FULLHOUSE〉の一員であるSAMO、UKクラブ・ミュージックとも馴染むモードなセレクターDJ 1-DRINK、ディープなドラムンベースで疾走するyayaoiがラインナップ、また空間ディレクションとしてレイヴ・パーティを不定期に開催、前回球体と照明を用い展示パーティを行ったTopiaクルーを迎え、新年のクリアなムードの中、ハイパー以降のリフレッシュなダンス・フロアを再構築する。

"Running High" mix by SAMO

Emerging out of Tokyo, young talent Oyubi has been making some serious waves worldwide with his constant stream of self-released Bandcamp uploads.

These range from footwork and juke right through to dubstep and grime, and have received recent support from the likes of Kush Jones, Objekt and Ben UFO. His most recent EP 'Earnin It', saw him collaborate with fellow Japanese producer, Fetus, and was released via Tokyo's Trekkie Trax - a label with which Oyubi was already acquainted, after featuring on a remix compilation of Roska's 'Pree Me' early last year.

Across the vast range of genres that these releases encompass, each track shares the meticulously-engineered sound design that situates Oyubi's music in an era not-yet-past. At times, this futurism is captured in a tripped-out Japanese nursery rhyme ('ALEX (いつまでふたり)' ), and at others in an alien-bongo, laser-blipped footwork track ('C Tom').

Oyubi continues in the rich lineage of Japanese Juke which has elsewhere seen contributions from Hyperdub affiliate Foodman and DJ Fulltono. Strap into his 'Shine A Light On' mix which features releases from the likes of AceMoMa, Coco Bryce, Djrum and Proc Fiskal.

We're kicking November off with a mix from California-born DJ and producer P Relief, who has recorded 60+ minutes of blissful electronics for Theory Therapy 45. 

This mix aims straight at your dopamine receptors; at least for us it does. Ambient pads, breakbeats, dubbed-out drums—it’s such a good example of the range that Parker consistently brings to his sets. It weaves between a bunch of different styles and sub-genres but even with all the twists and turns, the Berlin-based DJ has carefully constructed a coherent vibe and as usual, the selections are absolutely on point. We’ll be listening to this one a lot over the Aussie summer, thanks Parker <3

It’s time to turn off the soporific, spiraling blue screen that has been sucking up your soul for so long. Maybe a bit of fresh air could perk up the sluggish gum hidden behind your bulging eyes?

T.V.S.T. is the fictitious pseudonym of the mastermind and subculturalist Franz Aembient of Kashual Plastik. A protagonist of the vibrant Neukölln scene, influential disc jockey and selector. Program Curator of arkaoda. He works out of Berlin and is involved in various music/art projects under several dozen mysterious names. With his own label Kashual Plastik, he experiments with an authentic DIY approach composed of an intriguing graphic aesthetic and a hard-to-categorize sound inspired by Punk, 80s Synth-wave, EBM, Electro as well as Noise, Ambient, Folk and Leftfield electronics.

A choreography of ideas full of heavy delays, metallic percussion, murky vocals, and deconstructed electronics, Live at Meakusma Festival 2024 is an essential concert registration.
