Shaped by Light is a collaborative EP from RINZ. and Louk, born out of a month-long daily beat challenge. Each track reflects a small ritual of calm. The kind of moments that make a day feel whole. From cheat-day indulgence to golden hour drinks and quiet mornings in the garden, the music is a soundtrack to everyday serenity.

Built on analog warmth, lush grooves, and flute-driven textures, the EP moves through soulful basslines, buttery chords, splashy drums, and airy keys. Louk’s flute lines float over the production like sunlight through steam, weaving a signature sound that’s both intimate and expansive.

Across five tracks, Shaped by Light blends lo-fi beats, jazz vibes, and soulful textures, drawing on influences from classic chillhop to D’Angelo-style rhythm sections. Seamless by RINZ. and sfeerbeer is exactly that, four tracks created in a single Ableton session, designed to flow together without pause. Through intricate BPM and key calculations, each song transitions naturally into the next, with the final track looping effortlessly back to the opener, forming a complete circle. Horns appear on every track, from muted trumpet to flugelhorn, sax, and trombone, giving the EP a warm, organic thread.

Seamless

I came up with this song inspired by a short road trip I took to visit a friend I hadn't seen in a long while. I always end up having a great time visiting this friend so I was very much looking forward to getting there. I was dwelling on all the fun times we'd had on my way there.. wishing I could drive faster than the speed limit. I had a whole weekend of trekking, camping, and barbecuing planned and had packed all my gear with me. The sheer anticipation of a short break with my friend and beers in the sun had me pumped! So when I was back at my studio I had to turn that feeling into a song and 'on my way' is the result! I hope you like it!

Our world is reinventing itself every year and creating so many differences between people and generations. I feel that we need to be patient with each other and bridge some differences to create something new and insightful, while still maintaining the integrity of our individuality.

For RINZ. and Early Graden's first collab, they draw inspiration from the bustling branches with little leaf buds that foreshadow a long beautiful summer. During these days you may decide to take a walk, until you realize it's still quite cold. So you end up in a cafe drinking hot chocolate and looking out the window at the shaky branches.

This song starts off with chirpy, breezy synths and a reverberant shaker imitating the busy branches in the wind. It then transitions to a warm blend of organic and synthetic sounds to acknowledge the upcoming summer heat. The amplified guitar echoes charm you to believe that the weather will only get better from now on!

Cheat Day began with a beat made during a one-a-day challenge, and from the first arpeggio, it felt like a countdown to something sweet. RINZ. imagined the joy and slight mischief of giving in to your cravings, and Louk’s flute melodies added just the right touch of playful indulgence. The track grooves like a warm afternoon spent eating pastries you told yourself you wouldn’t.

Lush 80s-inspired synth chords and buttery flute lines swirl into a sound that feels both soulful and cheeky. The whole thing rides a mellow funk vibe, perfect for loosening up and letting go.

Born from a sunset beat session, with that magical hour when the sun dips low and everything turns gold. RINZ. had the chords first, warm and round, then came the guitar and flute with short and bright stabs like flickers of sunlight. Louk added a flute solo that glows with joy.

Golden Hour feels like sipping an Aperol spritz with sandy toes and a smirky half-smile. The rhythm is soft and steady, the harmonies glow, and the whole track breathes in that late-afternoon calm. It’s a mellow lofi jazz jam with soul and warmth at its core.

This one came together on a quiet morning, where everything slowed down and the world outside faded. RINZ. started with a mellow guitar loop and layered distant percussion that sounds like morning dew. Louk’s flute melodies tiptoe in, soft and patient, filling the spaces like the gentle rustle of pages.

Reading in the Garden feels like flipping through a good book, surrounded by nature and stillness. Lush chords support a soulful flute solo in the B section, echoing the rhythm of curiosity and calm. It’s intimate, peaceful, and rooted in the analog warmth of simpler pleasures.

Picture a carefree afternoon on a Brazilian beach, the sun warm on your skin, friends playing football and hackysack, and the smell of the ocean in the air. “Dame Dameo” captures that feeling with its upbeat bossa-inspired groove, soulful guitar solos, and a lively yet laid-back flow. The track feels like a walk across the fretboard, lush but always moving, radiating optimism and connection.

“Between” was created in the same Ableton session as three other tracks for RINZ. and sfeerbeer’s Seamless EP - designed so each song transitions smoothly into the next. Built on a swingy, triplet-inspired groove reminiscent of Dilla, it pairs subtle hip-hop drums with spacious, atmospheric jazz chords. The B-section dips into slightly darker jazz territory, adding intrigue to the mood. Wanting to expand its sonic palette, the duo invited Noé Mina to layer his signature muted, airy trumpet tones. His lines weave through the mix like soft brushstrokes, adding warmth, mystery, and a touch of intimacy to the track’s immersive soundscape.

Between

Part of RINZ. and sfeerbeer’s Seamless EP, “The Difference” flows in right after the atmospheric “Can You Tell,” switching gears into pure bluesy swagger. Built on long, jazzy minor 7/9 guitar chords, the track is peppered with plucky, slightly late rhythmic notes that create a wonky, swung pocket for that perfect “in the zone” feel. The duo brought in Howden on flugelhorn, whose takes were so good it was hard to choose. His final performance blends intentional, soulful phrasing with melodies that feel instantly familiar, locking in beautifully with the groove. It’s cool, confident, and timeless, like walking down the street with your Ray-Bans on, fully in your element. 

The Difference

Created in the same single-day Ableton session as the rest of the Seamless EP, “Endings And Beginnings” is both the EP’s final track and the bridge back to its opener. The project’s track titles form the sentence: Can You Tell The Difference Between Beginnings And Endings, and here that idea comes full circle. The song steps out of “Between”’s mysterious mood into a brighter, more playful groove with crisp, slightly swung drums. The soft hi-hats leave space for layered staccato horns that lock perfectly with the keys’ rhythm. In the second half, the arrangement shifts to a dreamy, sustained saxophone texture, creating a warm sonic bed. Louk’s short, silky solo chooses every note with intention, closing the EP on a smooth, jazzy exhale.

Beginnings and Endings

Seamless is a 4-track journey made in one Ableton session, each song flowing into the next — even the last looping perfectly back to the first. Intricate BPM and key changes make every transition natural, with horns featured throughout. Focus track “Can You Tell” leads with upbeat, dreamy chords, jazzy guitar, and a unique Indian-metal-bar pad, topped by Jonathan Brittain’s warm trombone.

“Los Santos” was created during a session at the Rechenzentrum in Potsdam, a creative hub soon closing its doors. Smokey Da Bear brought bouncy boom-bap drums, layered with dusty keys and a groovy bassline from Kisin Bayes, and RINZ.’s signature autowah guitars. A cruising GTA-inspired vibe perfect for freestyle cyphers or gaming sessions.
