Today we kick off our mixtape series with a vinyl selection from Wyndham @wyndhamelliot - eldest brother, co-founder and chief digger for our channel. The mix features many records from the late 90’s / early 00’s, which takes the listener on a ride through the past and into the future. 

We will be asking each of our artists for a short statement or quote that appears on the mixtape to give a feel for what to expect, or not as the case may be.

On 14th April 2023 the European Space Agency’s JUICE (Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer) mission launched to make detailed observations of the giant gas planet and its three large ocean-bearing moons. The year is 2031, the mission is in orbit around one of the moons and transmits frequencies back to Earth, received from beneath the ice capped oceans of Callisto.

The mix begins with a NASA recording from an original CD; Jupiter - NASA-Voyager Space Sounds, which includes excerpts from NASA Voyager I & II on their flyby of Jupiter in 1979. Also included near the beginning of the mix is an ambient number from Dana Kelley, well known for his releases under aliases Callisto and DKMA, and who sadly passed away in 2013. RIP to a true innovator.

In March, I had the privilege of playing at a festival in Colombia called Bonanza; located at the fantastic El Rio Hostel, Buritaca. It was a very unique experience partying in such a remote location with a stellar line up. Great music and programming, lovely and approachable crowd, amazing food and all round great energy.

+ 𝓪 𝓶𝓲𝔁 𝔂𝓸𝓾’𝓻𝓮 𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓵𝓵𝔂 𝓭𝓲𝓰𝓰𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓻𝓷 (𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝔀𝓱𝔂)? 
@o-bee at Floresta - @wakinglifeportugal '22 - Tinged with nostalgia, I was at the stage for the whole set and was very happy to see it uploaded to SoundCloud a month or so ago. Had one of _those_ moments that you look forward to all year during this set, hair stands on end, surrounded by people with positive energy, future and past melt into insignificance, no better place to be than here and now.

My parents! Dad for soundtracking everyday life at home with his guitar and voice, Mum for her love of dance music, house / disco and anything that has a real groove to it.

+ 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓫𝓮𝓼𝓽 𝓓𝓙 𝓼𝓮𝓽 𝔂𝓸𝓾’𝓿𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓷𝓮𝓼𝓼𝓮𝓭? 
Can’t really decide between these two sets that occurred consecutively on a Sunday afternoon one year at @freerotation in the Dome. Zip played after @move-d with one of the best transition sets between two very different artists that I have ever seen, an absolute masterclass. Followed up by @janefitz who closed the stage and played some truly eye opening and varied party music.

+ 𝔀𝓱𝓪𝓽’𝓼 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓯𝓪𝓿𝓸𝓾𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓮 𝓬𝓲𝓽𝔂 𝓽𝓸 𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽𝔂 𝓲𝓷? 
I have only been here once, but it had a unique energy and vibe to it that I have not experienced anywhere else, Bucharest.

Casting our minds back to our launch party at The Goose in November 2023 with a recording of the opening set from @wyndhamelliot. We decided to do this one as a day party making use of the long winter nights and giving our guests the opportunity to make use of their day energy and have a boogie on a boat with an incredible four-point sound system, friendly staff and professional setup :)

This was an all vinyl mix to kick things off whilst the sun was setting over the canal, guiding the buoyant dancefloor from a murmuring of friends catching up with one another to a fully loaded packed out house party vibration 🌀

More Dresden 24 - Enrica Falqui

For our tenth mix in our burgeoning series, we've shaken the format up a bit. Having previously put out exclusively live recordings from our parties and Bonanza, this time we have a nice, juicy studio mix from our friend Wyndham.

I (Ben) first met Wyn at Freerotation in 2022, where we immediately formed a strong bond over music and the unity that specific dance floors can bring. Having taken the plunge to go solo to Freero, Wyn returned the favour and hopped across the Atlantic to attend Bonanza 2023, playing on the Thursday night with fellow deep digger and BFF Sami. 

A champion of clean grooves, nifty breaks and immaculate mixing, Wyn delves deep into his bag of classic tech house and breaks for a 3 hour voyage here on Rio 010. You can catch him playing on the beach at Bonanza 2025 in a few weeks, as well as his Swivel label parties throughout the year back in London.
